There was an unexpected surprise waiting for us in the paddock this morning.. With legs for days, this beautiful colt came into the world 1 week earlier than expected.
We have been eagerly awaiting this ones arrival, With A+ lineage on his Sires side and impressive lines on his mother's side (half sister to A'Landell King) he did not disappoint!
We don't like to pick favourites as all our horses are special ... but it's hard not to when you have something as good looking as A'landell Kaption prancing towards you showing off her majestic self

2022 will be another busy year for soulmate endurance with the next generation of A'Landell babies hitting the tracks making their endurance debuts.
A'Landell Kaption affectionately known as Monkey was broken in this year and her first ride was Roseberg in NSW, piloted by trainer at the time Jenny Berg from Rivijen Endurance Horses.. Monkey completed her first 40km training ride with flying colours and handled the new exposure well.
Monkey is filling some big shoes with owner Jen Caslick, becoming Jens no1 horse after retiring A'Landell Kazade and who sadly passed recently.
We are excited to see this partnership evolve and to see Jen out and about with this horse who she flagged at an early age as her next forever steed 💜🖤

It's not often you hear stories from friends regarding their experiences involving horse and car accidents.. people tend to be to traumatised to share their experiences publicly for personal reasons, or that of fear for being judged and or critized for riding on roads.
We think it is important we share with you our experience to bring awareness to those who may not know the road rules, for those who have forgotten the road rules, and for those who may not have horse knowledge and or not know how horses react ..
A couple of weeks ago we lost our boy in an unfortunate road accident.. a driver with a trailer was travelling past horse and rider and although they slowed down, they did not stop.. the sound of the trailer spooked the horse and as a result he shyd and backed up onto the road in the path of the trailer. Unfortunately his injuries were catastrophic and he had to be PTS. Fortunately our rider was not physically injured, however as you could imagine she will carry this tragic experience with her for a long time.
This horse held a special place in many people's hearts.. he served many years with his owner (Jen) who loved him dearly, he was that 1 horse you know u will never get to experience a love the same again.. a partnership that was unbreakable... competing in endurance clocking up 2300+ endurance KM's..
After recently retiring from endurance, he started his next chapter in life becoming a begginers horse teaching a dad how to ride with his daughter... a dad who has never riden a horse before and needed a trusting compainion to show him the ropes.. he also imprinted his love onto a new endurance rider, one that was new to the sport and was gaining confidence back..these two creating a bond that was also special.
It is important we share our story with you.. not for sympathy, but for awareness, to put a horses face to a tragedy that could happen to any of you...
