While we are seeing warmer weather creep in, our local wildlife is being seen more.

With calls multiplying for myself and my relocator colleagues. I would like to give a general reminder.

If you see a lizard on your property and it is not at risk of being injured by one of your pets.
We suggest to leave it and let it help your property's eco system by controlling snails, crickets and cockroach populations.
If it is at risk.
Please keep eyes on it and call a relocator to assist.

If you see a snake on your property.
Move all children and pets away from the area.
Close all doors.
Monitor the snakes location and movements from a safe distance.
Call a relocator to assist.

Do Not try and kill any native wildlife. This is against the law and the majority of snake bites are caused by people trying to kill them.

It is also not recommended to try and catch it yourself with no training and in open footwear.

Please refer to the below list if you cannot contact ourselves.

Please note that relocators may charge a fee or ask for a donation. Dependant if they are operating as a business or a volunteer service.

Fees can vary from $50 up to $150 dependant on the person and their operating status.

Fees help cover transportation cost, fuel, insurances, wear and tear on equipment, time spent catching and releasing the wildlife. even the care of the animal, either to receive medical treatment or taken to a wildlife carer.

If you have a very untidy property and it takes over an hour to move half a shed. Please don't expect your relocator to do your cleaning for free.

Happy Sunday to everyone.
Just a little reminder. I do try my best to find another relocator if I am unavailable to assist.
Most relocators will charge a fee from $50 up to $150, depending on the distance and time they commit sorting through your property.
We are legally allowed to relocate native wildlife from private property with the owners permission.

Anything around native bush reserves, your local park, beach reserve. We are not allowed to touch the wildlife as it may be in its native habitat in some situations.

If the wildlife is at risk of serious harm or it has a risk of serious harm and safety to the public. We are allowed to relocate them with the Local Governments permission.

In short, if you are at your local playground or beach reserve and you believe there is a risk to others or the animal. You must call the local ranger and they will contact us to assist and cover any fees.

Rockingham Council Rangers

Rangers are available seven days a week from 7am–7pm

It's that time of year. Your local wildlife is getting more inquisitive. Remember to look out for hiding wildlife while you are doing your gardening this spring.

Myself and other local relocators are now getting more calls to assist our community.
Please keep in mind. Alot of relocators ask for a donation to help cover fuel, time and even insurances.
$50 on average is the asking donation dependant on travel and time spent.
We will always try to assist those members of the community who may be having hardship or who may need extra assistance. Do not be afraid to speak with your local relocator.

I currently work Away as my primary income. This means you may not get ahold of me due to signal or work. Please send a message or try,
Medusa Reptile Relocation who can assist in sourcing another experienced relocator.

Thank you to Wildlife Rescue Australia for the continued recognition of my local volunteer service.

Stay safe and enjoy your spring.

I would like to say thank you to the wonderful Baldivis community and our neighbouring suburbs who have helped keep our wildlife safe by contacting us and our associates who work and volunteer to look after our native wildlife.

Amazingly our Tiktok page is now over 200 subscribers and our highest viewed video is at 2,567 views which is one of our snake bite first aid videos by St Johns Ambulance WA

Always remember the following when discovering a wildlife visitor.

1. Keep a safe distance.
2. Move kids and pets inside and out of the area.
3. Watch the movements of your visitor.
4. Contact a wildlife relocator.

Most of us servicing south of the river are in constant contact and do our best to find you someone who can assist.
Unfortunately we do have family and work commitments which may restrict our availability. We do apologise if that is the case when you call us for help.

Please remember. A lot of relocators do now ask for a service donation of $50 to $100 depending on where they are travelling from and time committed sorting through your forgotten spring cleaning piles.
This donation helps cover for the rising costs of fuel, time away from work(some self employed) and the cost to improve or replace damaged equipment.

If you do have financial stresses. Please do not be afraid to ask and talk with us. We are here to help yourself and our native wildlife.
