Treat’em Pets has Variety 🐶🥗 Just like us, our pets can get a bored with the same food day after day. Many of us want to provide variety for our pets, but with so many options available, it can be hard to know exactly what to feed your pet, and which products offer the best flavour and nutrition.

One way to offer variety is through mixed feeding, which is the practice of combining multiple formats in your pets meal such as wet and dry dog foods.

While every pet is different and will enjoy different flavours and combinations, when practicing mixed feeding, make sure you follow the recommended feeding guidelines on the packs to make sure your pet is fed the right amount.

If your pet is new to wet pet food, make sure you introduce it into their diet gradually over the course of a week. It’s recommended you start out by replacing 25% of your pet’s normal food, then move to 50%, then 75%, over the week for optimal digestion. A raw food diet closely resembles the diet your dog’s ancestors would have eaten. It prioritises natural ingredients and a balance of vitamins and minerals to deliver what your dog needs from their diet.

Do you have a dog who just pigs out at dinner time?
Our Stevie girl, the mini British Bulldog, is a bit of a giant pig when it comes to her food....
To help combat this gulping behaviour, we bought her a slow feeder dog bowl from Sandy's Grooming Tails & K9 Cafe.
What a difference it makes to her at feeding time. She wasn't able to scoff it down in seconds and she really enjoyed the pockets of different foods.
Winner all round!

What does complete and balanced mean to you?

Balanced means that a meal meets all the nutritional requirements and everything is correct and balanced. Not missing any nutrients.

Complete is the word thats thrown around a lot atm and misused even more.
No 1 single meal is complete.
Not even we as humans can find or make & eat 1 complete and balanced meal that will provide us every vitamin, mineral, amino acid, fats etc. Impossible. If NASA can't do this for its astronauts, how can we do it for our dogs?
The only way to truly achieve a complete and balanced diet for your dog is to offer VARIETY. A range of different meat proteins, organs, plants, fruits and vegetable matter.
After all, its how we achieve this status for ourselves is it not?

We've tried to offer a range of these nutrient properties across our 12 scientifically formulated and balanced meals, 2 broths and 2 smoothies. Our focus IS your dogs health. Even offering a range in brands is recommended too.
Don't forget our meals are made to FEDIAF guidelines. Not AAFCO. And I encourage you to do your own research here.

This new meal has some hidden extras. We've used whole rabbit in this recipe, including some of the fur.
