To all our wonderful clientele both past, present, and yet to be.
We would like to thank you all for another wonderful and extremely busy year at The Drovers Rest. In the spirit of what is to come, a quote from Henry Lawson seems befitting:
“” Across the stony ridges,
Across the rolling planes,

As the Christmas period fast approaches and plans with family are being finalized by all, we are excited that yet again we are at full capacity providing a rural retreat for your 4-legged family members unable to be part of planned expeditions. To those who have missed out we are sorry not to see you and would like to wish you a very merry Christmas and a fantastic new year.

As is the case each year our doors will be closed from the evening of Thursday the 8th of February 2024 and reopening on the Monday morning of the 26th of February 2024 as we recharge our batteries and plan for another year of creating memorable experiences.

However as with all journeys in life, change is on the horizon for us, the last 22 years creating a rural destination and home away from home for your 4-legged Family members has been a very rewarding experience, but it is now time for us to put ourselves first and explore what this vast land of ours has to offer. In saying this it is our intention to make the Drovers Rest available to purchase as a going concern early next year.

It has been a very hard decision to make as Andrew, myself and the rest of the team are very fond of our extended family members and feel honored that you have entrusted us to care for them over the years. The first step in this process will be to find like-minded people who will continue to provide and build on what we have already established.

So, if you love animals, enjoy being immersed in the natural landscape, only a few minutes out of Cooma, then please contact us and let’s see what the future could provide for you.

Lovin' Livin' at the Drovers Rest

It’s almost time for our Chihuahua puppies to find their new families. They will be vaccinated and microchipped. These puppies have been handled since they were born and are already toilet trained. If you know of anyone that needs a companion puppy that will love these babies as much as us please DM us. We have two boys and a girl available. ❤️
