Shire Horses in need of a small donation.. Please donate if interested. https://www.facebook.com/share/zT1kVuXD5h5WUciG/?mibextid=oFDknk
Coldcroft Shires has a proposition for any of their interested followers...
I have been honest about my change in circumstances in the last day or so but this has nothing to do with that.
My circumstances changed 14 months ago and, whilst I like to keep my private life private, I won't lie to others. There is a big difference between staying private and starting to tell lies.
I propose to start an inner group within Coldcroft Shires.
This group will not only have access to content of posts and visits to the farm that is not available to others but the group will have an ownership share in Shire horse foals.
Basically, I am looking for monthly sponsorship, not to cover my everyday working costs but to achieve two aspects that are important to me and, I believe, the well-being & future of the Shire horse as a working breed.
My passion is to promote the horse as a viable option in everyday life, without recourse to the infernal combustion engine/electrified options and all the problems that comes with them.
(If you think that horse farts are a significant contribution to climate change then please leave this page in silence. 🤣)
I want to get my horses out into the communities and share their benefits, both emotionally and practically, with the younger generations so that they realise there are valid everyday ways forward other than what they are currently experiencing.
Shire horses also make great equine therapy horses.
An issue that exists is that some of the people who would benefit most are the least able to travel.
Well, if the needy can't go to the mountain, let us move the mountain to where it is needed most.
I would like to both inspire and educate people about a way forward that is both ancient and totally practical.
I would also like to start a breeding programme for traditional, working Shire horses - not what is being bred for the show ring, ridden or otherwise - but Shire horses that have the ability to do an honest day's work.
For this I need to secure the right mare/s to start with.
I have a proposition that asks up to 500? of you for a modest monthly, financial commitment.
Yes, there would be a financial cost to set up the whole process so that it is totally transparent and your input is properly protected and explained.
The monthly sponsorship fee is your commitment - no hidden extras.
If I realise that the monthly payment is proving to be excessive to what is actually required then your monthly financial commitment would be reduced, without loss of interest.
This would be monitored by a totally independent, professional firm.
You will receive your share of ownership monies when the foals are sold on to new homes after weaning.
The Sponsors will own the foals, not Coldcroft Shires.
Your monthly fee will cover all veterinary costs and suchlike.
The small print, etc will be available if this proves of interest to enough people.
Please don't clog the response to this post unless you are genuinely interested.
Lots of people doing a little, all in the same direction, can make one helluva difference...
Together we can help save our working Shires ❤️
