Here is a quick video of 3 of the puppies doing the barrier challenge for the first time. This exercise helps puppies with their problem solving skills and manage frustrating situations.
Frustration is a major cause of aggression in dogs ( and humans) by exposing the puppies at this age to mildly frustrating scenarios and letting them problem solve the solution for them selves we are setting the puppies up to better deal with frustrating situations in adult life. This is just one of the many benefits of the puppy culture program we use to raise our puppies. ❤️

Now that the puppies are eating solid food well, we can begin our training and socialisation protocols! The first step before any real training can start is conditioning the clicker! You will see in the video below that I'm simply clicking and feeding a treat, I'm not looking for or clicking any particular behaviour. At this point, I simply want the puppies to learn that the click predicts a treat, then we can use it as a marker when training to mark the exact behaviours we're looking for and enhance the training process.

Our puppy's are raised in our home amongst all our normal family activities, so they are very used to all the normal household noises and activities. Additionally, we like to change up their living quarters on a daily basis. Today, the puppies have a small stool to interact with. This may seem simple, but by introducing new and novel experiences each day, the puppies are learning that changes to their environment are safe and can be fun. This, in turn, helps them grow into well-rounded individuals. It also provides good enrichment and mental stimulation for the puppies.
