15.2hh 2015 TB gelding by Reliable Man.

Rarely do you find a horse who is both talented, coupled with an exceptional temperament, in a lovely small package for anyone to ride from juniors to adults. One of those rare, incredible TBs who can keep up with the Warmbloods, while being tough as nails, and a bonus, very easy to keep!

Fred came to me OTT and has been carefully let down and professionally brought on in between rider having a baby. He is a naturally confident horse, whose type screams FEI eventer. He is toddler/child proof (jumping on trampolines, riding Quad bike on the arena with him) and more recently pram and baby proof. He is the favourite of the farrier/dentist/vet, all who comment on his wonderful temperament. He was the last horse I rode while pregnant, and the first I got back on 7 weeks post partum, and was still in work on the ground while I was further along in my pregnancy. Can be left for weeks and jump straight on, however will thrive with regular work. Hacks out down the road on a long rein, and often works with chainsaws/whippersnippers/mowers going next to the arena, you really cannot fault his bravery!

Under saddle Fred has 3 very good paces, with a naturally quick hind leg. His trot has a swing to it rare to find in a TB, and you can feel with strength he will have many gears to build on. His canter has a great jump and feels like he's destined to eat up XC courses. He working Novice, and has commenced the Elementary work with ease. Leg yields established and able to be ridden in shoulder in throughout the work. Video is of his first attempts at the counter canter work which he found incredibly easy.

He has started jumping with me, and is honest and sharp over a fence. Limited jumping due to a newborn and lacking time! Already with limited jumps under saddle he is schooling through grids 90cm.

While pregnant I took him in hand XC and he casually jumped everything from banks to ditches to water, and his first under saddle school was perfectly behaved. He will be one to climb the grades quickly as he is very clever; and relaxed in his work.

Although Fred is a straightforward ride, he's best suited to a intermediate and above rider who wants to bring on a horse through to FEI eventing levels, who doesn't need to be worked daily. I could also see Fred hold his own against the WBs in straight dressage, or alternatively is a great prospect for the OTT dressage series.

While I was pregnant, Fred was occasionally worked by clients and friends, and again would have had weeks off undersaddle work and then be perfectly behaved for someone new. He also is wonderful on the ground, parks and backs up off the voice, and long reins very well (can go large, starting laterals).

Fred is only for sale as I would like to just have one horse to ride with a young family, and his 17.3hh very quirky brother is a bit too much of a weirdo to sell 😂

Lots of video footage available on request. Please serious enquires only, he is a talented, powerful horse who will be a breeze to take through the grades.

, Fred is for sale to the perfect person only. or else he'll be withdrawn from sale and readvertised later in the year after being campaigned.
