CANCELLED OPEN DAY 28 JULY 2024
Owing to weather conditions, we have decided to cancel this open day. The paddocks, walkways and picnic areas are sodden and slippery and the forecast has changed to show Sunday is likely to be cold, wet and windy. Not ideal for an outdoor farm visit. We apologise for any inconvenience 🥹

Sunday 23rd June 2024
Our first Winter open day and hasn’t it been cold!!!? Sunday is forecast to be the warmest day this week. Nothing like a few icy crisp days to wake up the brain and get us moving briskly. Why not pack up a picnic and wrap up warmly. Come and see the alpacas all dressed up in their winter fluff. The babies are growing… but not fast enough to lose their adorableness 🥰

Mother’s Sunday Day 12 May
A day to celebrate the person who gave you life. This year has special meaning for me. It’s the 1st anniversary of the day I lost my Mum but I’d prefer to remember the good living years so come and help me celebrate Mum all the Mums, with us now or with us in our hearts.
We open at 11 and close at 3. Maybe bring a picnic and fill it with all the things Mum loves. I might need to make an apple pie 🥰

Our lovely neighbours have processed the yarn from their own alpacas. 11 year old Sienna makes the beanies herself while 13yr (almost 14yr) old Jack tends and trains the alpacas. I can vouch for the warmth of these gorgeous beanies and the care these alpacas get. They even come with washing instructions... (the beanies not the alpacas) 🥰

Remember Daylight Saving Ends today. We won’t be opening early for early arrivals 🥰
We have 2 babies born and one to go. A little boy was born just this afternoon. Dress for the farm and the outdoors and bring along a picnic. We’d love to share our little ones with you all.

Finally one of our two little ones has been born. She is just amazing. So dark and spotty. We are completely in love.

She’s one of our Ingwe girls. Ingwe is the herd we share with Carolyn and Jack Cumper. Her name will be Ingwe Leopard Sienna

Sunday 25 February 2024

Well hasn’t Melbourne turned on some interesting weather for us? Sunday looks to be about perfect though. Let’s make the most of Summer while it lasts. Autumn is just around the corner.
Things have finally started to brown off and the yummy hay pile is all ready for the dry spell. The alpacas will be very eager to participate in hand feeding.

Some of you may remember our first 2024 open day. It was meant to be a nice sunny day until mid afternoon and turned wet and rainy right from the get go 😏🥹. Well we decided to give the kids something to do and we held a colouring competition for the intrepid alpaca lovers who ventured out. Mothers Day Open Day
To all of our followers, I accidentally posted on my farm page instead of my personal page about my precious Mum’s passing yesterday. Thank you all for your lovely messages. We have decided that because it’s Mothers Day and because she would have wanted life to go on, that we will still be opening on Sunday. The sun will shine for her and for all the beautiful mothers out there and our alpaca Mums are still hungry so we look forward to seeing you all here on Sunday to celebrate mothers everywhere.

My sweet little Mum died this morning leaving a huge hole in our collective lives but filling that hole and our hearts with the gold of her generous spirit. In her life she has helped and cherished so many and will be remembered with love and laughter. I love you Mum. Always will

Sunday 23 October Garden Walk Open Day 9:30am - 5:30pm. Alpacas available to feed 11am-3pm as usual. This open day event is a very special day. Entry to the farm is via the Arthur’s Creek Garden Walk ticket system. All visitors to the farm this Sunday must go to the Arthur’s Creek Hall for tickets. All proceeds will go to the fund raiser. The benefit is that you will have 7 beautiful gardens to visit as well as the alpacas on that day. What a busy week it’s been with lovely interstate visiting family time. We are open on Sunday 6March but I’ve been too busy to post anything. We’ve had a bunch of really cute little fellows join us before heading off to their new homes. Look at these two little Cuties making their entrance. We are open from 11 am -3 PM Sunday 6th March and really hope to see you all.

Little ‘Rex’ has a companion who is named ‘Sunshine’ because she is warm, little bit yellow and brings joy.

Yes we are a place of alpaca worship but we welcome other little’uns. Our first incubated chick has hatched. This needs a ‘cheep’ volume option.

First warm day and …swim time! Notice the young ones sticking together.

Windy day dinner call with some fly in fly out guests. They hear me call from the furtherest part of the farm sorry neighbours. (yes I wish the farm was bigger too 🤣)

Lockdown moments. Oh wow what a privilege to have had a week of joy with these magnificent (although extremely annoying at times) creatures. They normally disappear for a while after the babies hatch but this year they have hung around and are bringing us great joy. Purple Swamp Hens I believe.

You are never in isolation with alpacas around. Our lovely covid refugee is helping around the place and today he was feeding the alpacas. What a frenzy 😂
