It is with a heavy heart, that I announce Craigieburn Dog Obedience Group will cease operating after 31 years. The club started back in 1993 under the expertise of my parents, they had started other clubs previously including the German Shepherd Obedience Dog Club (in Bundoora).
The final day will be Sunday, December 16th (our scheduled "Fun Day").
Training, including mid week training will continue until this date.
I will not be accepting new memberships or renewals, but the next 2.5 months will allow members to use their remaining pre-paid training cards. Once used, you may still pay the $4 per lesson until the end.

If anyone is interested in purchasing the business thus keeping the club going, please DM me directly to offer a fair price for the IP, existing stock (excluding chains and leads: these will be returned to the supplier), pass up ribbons, membership cards, lanyards transfer of websites, social media and scheduling accounts, equipment including whatever agility equipment remains in the storage shed. etc

Dear members,
Just a friendly reminder, it is imperative that you book in online BEFORE you attend training on a Sunday morning or Wednesday evening.
This is exceptionally important, for multiple reasons, 1. I need to know how many instructors I’ll need each week, when class sizes get close to full, I can bring in more assistance.
2. It allows the classes to start on time, Bec and Tracy don’t have to search for your name and allocate you to your class.
3. It tells me when you pass up. (I keep a history of when you train)
If you are unsure how to do this or if it’s a real hassle doing it, kindly send me a text message (0477 763 913), and I can do it for you or book you into 10 or more lessons in advance.

One more post for today.
It's winter... well almost. but it is cold and wet today, A suggestion was made for the club to sell branded wet weather jackets and hats, similar to those worn by Tracy, Bec and I.

If this is something you'll be interested in buying, I'll get them made up.

Hats are about $25. Huge puffer jackets are (I think) a little over $100 each...

Expressions of interest are being sought to assist in organising a "Dog Awareness Day" at Craigieburn Dog Obedience Group. Kind of like a "dog expo"., we'll invite, special skilled dogs such as Seeing eye dogs, sheep-herding dogs, Police dogs, customs dog, Companion dogs etc. Invite, retailer of pet products/ services. hold talks in dog awareness. Try and get the council assistance.. Ideas are welcome... but this would be a mammoth task to organise.

It’s with sad news and a very heavy heart that we say good bye to Yasi.
Yasi was the daughter of an Australian Obedience Champion and that may be why she was able to train herself. She self appointed herself as the Welcoming Committee for the dog club. And more recently gave my young kittens some much needed maternal affection. More importantly she was the one that saved Mum’s life when Mum had a stroke. If Yasi had not been there to keep Mum conscious until I arrived home to call an ambulance, Mum would not be with us today.
Yasi - you were a magnificent dog and we love you and we miss you greatly.
Rest in peace

Craigieburn Dog Obedience Group is excited to announce, that over the next 4 weeks Tracy, Bec and Marcus, will be attending a Dog Instructors Course at Macedon Ranges Dog Club. We doing this to enhance our skills and bring all members better and more uniform training.
As a result, the mid week Wednesday class will be moved to Mid week Tuesdays. As soon as we have completed our course Wednesday classes will resume.
I've change the dates in the online booking system, please remember to book in online for the class.
