Kanandah Park Performance Horses

Kanandah Park Performance Horses In 2002 the first foal arrived which marked the beginning of a passion for breeding sporthorses.

My goal is to breed athletic, talented, sound horses who are attractive and a pleasure for their owners. My operation is only on a small scale due to career commitments as an equine vet, however from a handful of horses which are now at competition age I am rather proud of their achievements and look forward to watching more of my youngsters go out and make their mark in years to come..

Last Socs spam for awhile I promise!
Had some fun this afternoon ba****ck and in a halter getting a photo for the sponsors- Anvil Enterprises kindly supported our EvA95 B class for 2025.
Always so thankful for the businesses that step forward and help make this sport possible so we can get out and enjoy our superstar horses and make fantastic memories.
Anvil Enterprises make high quality Australian made horse stables and fit out solutions- if you’re in the market make sure to check them out.

Scone Jump Club July 6th 2025

Socs did his first ever 1.10 (and my first in a long time!) and we’ve got plenty to improve on but we did it (and dare I say it was fun, maybe in a type 2 fun kinda way- i had some decent adrenaline going lol!)
Houdini got dragged out after barely being ridden in weeks and was super brave and clever round the 90. He definitely needs a clip (and maybe some prascend 🙈😂).
Oh and Ada came for a drive to have her first look at sporthorse life and other than telling the boys off every half hour for looking at her the wrong way she was well behaved. Mares 🙄💅.
It was a friendly day out that we thoroughly enjoyed as usual!

Denman Horse Trials 2025
EvA 95 B winner

Socs was such an absolutely amazing pony to pull this off! He was ridden only 5 times in the month leading in, had almost 2 years away from competing and I also stepped him up a level 🤷‍♀️😅..

Despite all that he led from the dressage and added no further penalties. Hilariously my hairy little jellybean was the fastest show jump round and the second fastest cross country (fastest inside the optimum time). He was a pleasure- so chilled out- even had a little grass snack on the way to the cross country start box 🤦‍♀️😂.

Will get a nice photo for the sponsors modelling his trophy rug when this wild weather passes. Huge thanks to Anvil Enterprises for their sponsorship of the class!

Many thanks to my cheer squad (so nice having a local event!), especially to Carly for doing a fair bit of grooming and plaiting him up (and Cathy for her horse whispering skills sending him to sleep while he was getting beautified). Also to the ever patient and encouraging coach Jess Somerfield who talked me off a ledge when I was looking just a bit flustered after walking the show jumping and thinking how 95cm looks so much bigger than I remembered 😂.

All round a great weekend was had and I go home reminded yet again how cool my little mate is ❤️.

Yesterday Houdini had his turn at Denman for another clinic w Jess. He was a little keen- 6 days off and last ride was Quirindi CC..so he was thinking he didn’t need much input from me and he had his slightly quirky mode activated too - I was laughing at him a few times 🙄😂. Again no one told him he’s tiny (and old lol) so he had a crack at some of the 1* stuff and thoroughly enjoyed himself!
Photos thanks to lovely Chloe who took photos of the whole group! Super thoughtful, it’s always such a nice vibe at these clinics ❤️.

Houdini at Quirindi cc clinic last weekend. The little guy was pinging over the 95s, a couple of 105s and a blonde moment had me jump him into the water over the 2* (which he handled like a star anyway!). Definitely horse of the day, although Socs got to jumping well about half way through his lesson when he finally woke up and switched on splashing in the water 🤷‍♀️😂. Photos thanks to Truman!

Scone Jump Club April 12th 2025. It was a beautiful day, I had a fab time catching up with friends and the horses jumped really well. Both boys stepped up in heights to jump their biggest ever rounds (Houds 90 and Socs 105). Love the relaxed supportive atmosphere of these days! Photos thanks to Diane Smith

January Wildfire Equestrian Clinic
The boys all got a fabulous weekend out and for their first time jumping in 6 months were fantastic (the ‘intermittent eventer’ is back 😂🥳). Houdini in particular jumped his heart out on some of the more technical stuff. We had an amazing lesson with the eventing physiologist too, I’ve got some homework to do! Looking forward to getting out a bit more with the ponies this year ❤️🐎. Once again thanks to Jess and the girls for such a great clinic, always supportive and fun!

Such a beautiful day to go for a pack saddling picnic lunch by the Goulburn river. Wonderful company, even if they did serenade me with Happy Birthday at the end 🙈😂. Can’t wait for the next adventure!

Back home and the ponies are back into the swing. Last weekend was 2 x XC lessons and 1 x SJ. This weekend an outing to Fullerton Cove with a friend. Socs was a good loan pone for the day so Jen could have some fun. We did have a bit of excitement meeting some motorbikes and mini quads on a trail (Donny seriously considered throwing himself into a lake to escape 😂) but otherwise it was a relaxing 11km ride through the sand..
