Orthopedic Emergency Monday ⚠️ ⚠️
Everyone meet Skip 🐶 ❤️ 🐶
Skip was rushed into our clinic today with a dislocated elbow after a run in with a motor bike
Dr Amanda was able to get it to pop back into the correct place with some manual manipulation. A splint was needed to keep the joint stable and some pain relief was given, now its back home for some rest to let everything heal properly.

Everyone meet Missy 🐶 ❤️ 🐶
Missy came in for a visit today to talk to Dr Veronica about her very sore back leg. After a thorough check over, a mild sedation and some X-rays our team discovered she has a fractured hip.

Have you seen how large a dogs Canine tooth really is?
This guy came in with a very loose front tooth that was hanging on just by a peice of gum. The white line is where gum line normally is.

This cute guy is Dodge the French Bulldog.
He came in to see Dr Veronica today about a sore ear. Dodge was rubbing his ear and had a head tilt, so his very vigilant mum booked in a consult asap. Dodge has a mild ear infection. He's had a thorough ear clean and received some medication to take home and he'll be as good as new in no time.

Another parrot beak trim for Dr Amanda.
Everyone meet Harry!!!!
Harry is a Superb Parrot, isn't he just beautiful? 🦜❤️ 😍 🦜
Superb Parrots are native to South Eastern Australia.
Males and females of this species are easily distinguishable, the male is bright green and has bright yellow cheeks, forehead and blueish wing tips
The female is a slightly darker matte green with a yellow beak and yellow under her tail.

Everyone meet Levi !!!

Levi is an Eclectus Parrot.
This beautiful baby boy came in for a beak trim with Dr Amanda.
The female of the species are just as beautiful as the males in this breed of parrot, which in birds is very uncommon, the females are vivid red, purple and blue.
Levi's green and red is gorgeous and he will continue to brighten as he gets more mature.

Little Ziggy was rushed in to us this morning with a little problem, Ziggy had a stick stuck across in between her top teeth, a quick look and a little leverage and this chunk of stick was removed safely.

Murphy's puppies are a week old now!!! She came in with her new puppies for a post whelping check up for herself and to get her babies a check over as well to make sure they are all ok, she's doing a great job looking after her beautiful kids.

Ralph came in today for a check up on his abscess site which he had drained a week ago and while he was in for his check up he had his annual vaccinations and his 3 monthly worming tablet. He was a very brave boy for his needle and tablet. 🐈 ❤️ 🐱

Little George came in today with a lump that had come up under his jaw.
With a bit of a hair cut an abscess was discovered hiding underneath.
After having some sedation Dr Veronica made a few minor incisions and his large abscess was drained, flushed out with antiseptic and he's has been given some antibiotics to take home, he should be back to his happy bubbly self in a few days.
