🎉 Today, we’re celebrating Missy’s first birthday! 🥰

From day dot, this young lady has impressed us all with her gentle, fun loving nature, and social intelligence❤️

Over time (and as she got fluffier) she’s shown us her exuberant, sassy side and she is now the life of the party!!! 🥳

She adheres her play style to each new friend she meets, and eventually warms them up to behaving as excitable as she is.🥰

Now her fellow energetic friends start zooming around each time she arrives. 🎉

She is a little ray of sunshine and we’ve been blessed to watch her bloom into the dapper little lady she is.

This week, we went live with our new reservation system, and while we’ve been busy learning the ropes, our beloved furry friends couldn’t care less—they’re just here to be cared for, feel safe and have a good time!

We’ve had some fantastic packs this week, with happy tails and playful energy all around.

Thank you for your patience as we get up to speed.

Rest assured, our fun-loving guests haven’t missed a single beat!

Call out!!! Today Jordana lost her newly acquired gold and diamond encrusted Cross. We have searched yards, drains, literally everywhere. Can everyone, whose dog was in our care today check their dog’s poo for this precious piece? She was wearing it this morning and it was missing by lunchtime. Means a lot. Thank you

One of the greatest joys in our work is seeing familiar dogs and cats return. While they’d likely prefer the comforts of their own home, they recognize this place as a safe and loving environment, greeting us with heartwarming enthusiasm. And on the other end, it’s just as special to witness the reunions. When pets are picked up, they’re thrilled to see their owners, yet still take a moment to rush back to us, as if to say “thank you” and “goodbye.” Animals have such an effortless way of showing love and gratitude—there’s so much to learn from their beautiful, open-hearted nature.

Some things are a mystery. The dogs were so vocal and amped up on Tuesday, we were certain a storm was coming, but alas, just a 1min sprinkle in the afternoon. Maybe all our long term daycare dogs were just excited to see Mickala who’s back in Darwin for a short visit and they were telling everyone how awesome she is.

Our priority is to ensure safe, compatible, and enjoyable interactions for our boarding dogs that have opted in for Group Social Play.
When dogs are introduced to social group play, they start off on leads (often with one of our daycare dogs that we know well) while our team observes their behavior and play styles. We closely monitor for any signs of discomfort or potential reactivity.
It’s wonderful to witness this process unfold!

With the help of an incredible buddy/mentor, other furry friends and our team of carers she is now thriving- content and curious.

These kind of transformations, from scared to settled, fill us with pride and joy.
