🌟 Meet Davis: A Lamb Saved Against All Odds 🌟

Davis was born in the middle of a freezing Victorian winter, in a cold, wet saleyard. Separated from his mother—who was killed—he was put in a box in the corner, vulnerable and helpless. By sheer luck, our research team happened to be at the saleyard that day and rescued Davis, with promise of a long happy life ahead.

He traveled an incredible 1,782 km to reach the safety of Farm Animal Rescue, where he is now thriving as a flock favorite.

But Davis’s story is an exception. Every year, millions of baby lambs across Australia freeze to death on farms before they even have a chance at life. These tragedies are part of the hidden suffering in Australia’s agriculture industry, and we’re committed to changing that.

🐑 Koa’s Story: A Miracle on the Highway 🐑

Tiny one-week-old Koa defied all the odds. She fell off a transport vehicle traveling at 90 km/h, landing on the highway. The fact that she survived the fall is a miracle in itself.

A compassionate passerby saw her, stopped, and rushed her battered body to help. Bruised, bloody, and scared, Koa showed incredible resilience and survived against all odds.

We had a blast at Piggy Christmas this year, with so many supporters coming along to watch the pigs enjoy their Christmas treats. It was so great to see so many new and familiar faces, and the pigs were delighted with the whole event!

A big thank you to the small army of volunteers that this event requires, and to our supporters who brought so many fruit donations for the pigs to enjoy. They loved it!

🐑 Meet Jasmine: A Story of Survival and Hope 🐑

Jasmine’s journey to Farm Animal Rescue began in heartbreak. Born on a slaughterhouse truck, she was left on the side of the road—a tiny, fragile lamb denied even the first feeds from her mother that build a lamb's immune system. Weak and abandoned, her chances were slim until a kind motorist found her and contacted us.

At the sanctuary, Jasmine found safety, love, and the care she desperately needed. But her early struggles left her vulnerable, and she developed pneumonia shortly after her rescue. Thanks to life-saving veterinary care, Jasmine is now thriving, but she, like over 100 animals at our sanctuary, carries the scars of Australia’s agriculture industry.
