If you ever need to remove the Drive Hubs on your Dingo, your best bet is to buy, or make a “Dingo spec” Hub Puller. Over the last 20 + years, have heard and seen many attempts at removing Hubs, usually involving Oxy/ 10 Ton Pullers/ Sledge Hammers/ lots of sweat and Swearing, but I’ve never spent more than 5 minutes popping off a Hub, using the good old “Dingo Hub Puller”. Initially I made my own, out of an old Chain drive sprocket, and Trencher Adjuster Bolt, which worked ok, but you really need a UNF Threaded bolt, not UNC. Best money I ever spent. Oh, apart from buying my own Dingo!

Current Job at the Wild Dog Kennel - K93 Tracked Machine, in need of new Tracks/ Nose Rollers/ lower Track Rollers. Managed to salvage 4 of the 8 track Rollers, and re bearing, re Seal them. Nose Wheels/ Axles completely rooted.

Had a Customer manage to snap a Rear Wheel Motor on his K94. Seen a few Front ones broken, but never a rear. The machine has done 4,100 Hours, so not a bad run. At those Hours, it made sense to fit 2 new rear Wheel motors, ( fronts were done a few months previously ), because the Engine was out anyway. If you have to remove Wheel Motors, and WMotor isnt buggered, just needs a reSeal, don’t just get a Sledgehammer and hit the end of Shaft, as it’ll damage the thrust bearings inside. Make yourself something that directs the force to the WMotor housing, not the Shaft. I had a bit of pipe, some RHS, and some thick flat bar, looks ugly, but works. Obviously, the broken WMotor didnt need any Hammering. The other side took a few blows- Quite a tight fit between WMotor and hole in Chassis side.

After driving for what felt like 75 days, the old truck and I made it across the border and rambled into Northern NSW on late Sunday afternoon.

Just a reminder that even though I'm not in north QLD anymore, I can still supply parts to anywhere in Australia and I'm only a phone call away for any enquiries or questions.

Well the time has come to confirm the rumours: Wild Dog is on the move!

After calling Townsville home for many years, I'm wrapping things up this week and setting the GPS for Kyogle, NSW.

It's time for a change of pace, a change of scenery, and a change in temperature! (Although moving south in winter isn't my smartest decision!)

This decision hasn't been made lightly, but while I'm not getting any younger, my grandkids are getting older and I'm looking forward to being closer to my 3 girls and all the kids.

I'm definitely not retiring yet though. Wild Dog will set up shop in the Kyogle area and I'll be working out of the Kyogle Motorcycles shed.

You'll still be able to order parts through me as I can get them sent directly to you. And I'm only a phone call or email away for any questions, advice, or a chat.

Thank you to all my customers who have supported me in Townsville over the years! I've been lucky enough to catch up with some of you before I go but for those I didn't get to see, I'll be back to visit soon so keep the beers cold!

A local Company got me in to demolish a Block Fence, then dig down to the Footing, so he can cut/ jackhammer out 400mm sections, every 2.1 mtrs, for me to Auger holes, for Retaining Wall posts. I’ve never been involved in a Job like this before. It’s good to be doing something different.
