This afternoon we share the handsome Max, with his glorious brown eyes 🤎

He dropped in for a consultation with Dr Boris and had a grand old time snacking on our tasty treats and lapping up the love!

Twos company, threes a crowd they say.. but not in this case - three was the perfect number 😍

We got to love on this trio of excitement and happiness during the week! With plenty of kisses, jumping up for pats and a little photographic chaos involved, it turns out trying to capture three beautiful and eager faces all at the same time was a little tricky 🤭

This little love popped in recently for a follow up check and she came in with a statement outfit 💖

With head tilts galore, kisses to share and love to spread we were thrilled to see her! She said she just couldn’t decide on the patchwork clutch or the personalised tote to bring along, but that’s okay sweet girl, we appreciate your bees knees harness 🥹

This morning we got to love on this handsome Labradoodle for his Behavioural Nurse Consultation 🫶🏼

This boy had a visit around all aspects of his new life. From settling in, bonding and learning about his new world and lifestyle!

We had a great conversation with his pawrents and came up with a plan, fully tailored for his success and we know that within no time he’s going to be a fully flourishing little legend 🥹

Check him out having a blast in the snuffle mat and helping type up his consult notes - such a brave boy! 😍

Most of you have probably seen this handsome gentleman floating around the clinic. He belongs to one of our lovely vets and thoroughly enjoys keeping an eye on all of us during his days 🩵

Here he is the other day, keeping an eye on his mumma and one of our nurses during a procedure on a patient. Such sad eyes because he couldn’t be all paws in properly helping 🥹

Today we share the glorious, Isa 🩵

This boy came for his first Nurse Behavioural Consultation last week and we had a great conversation around his emotions and feelings, concerns and training goals!

We started the process of setting him up with a training plan to help encourage some positive connections are proud to say he’s coming along very nicely with his parent seeing some progress and positive changes!

We have the capability to cover a wide range of Behavioural Concerns from fearful elements, stress and anxiety to emotional reactions to certain stimuli plus many more! 🐾 **Giving Back to Our Furry Friends!** 🐾

I’m thrilled to share that I was able to spend the evening volunteering with the team at the North West Veterinary Centre, grooming some of the sweetest Labradoodles in need of a little TLC! 🐶✂️

It was such a rewarding experience to help these pups look and feel their best as they wait for their forever homes. My passion for dogs goes beyond treats- I believe in supporting their well-being in every way I can. ❤️

A huge thank you to the RSPCA for the incredible work they do every day.

This sweet little boy enjoyed some of our Chicken Bites 😋

Yesterday we had a mammoth effort by our beautiful team! 🥹

We banded together with a local groomer and some dedicated, treasured and highly appreciated close friends and nurses to help another 10 labradoodles become shining beauties 💛

These big kiddos were brilliantly behaved, clipped, washed and dried ready for their next procedures and heading off with their beautiful foster carers 😍

🧠 FUN FACT FRIDAY 🧠

Did you know that all our patients get a form of pre-medication prior to their surgery or procedure? 🫶🏼

Plus the included cuddles 🤭 sometimes we just have to sit and snuggle the pups as they marinate in the pre-surgery medications 🥹 💤

Pre-medication is used to decrease stress and anxiety, improve ease of handling, increase muscle relaxation and minimise the need for stronger anaesthesia drugs!

As a result, the anaesthetic induction is smoother, the surgery itself is smoother and the transition into recovery and wake up can be achieved in a calmer and effortless 💖

We have a couple more beautiful ladies in this week to share over the next couple days too! When we say we have the best jobs, we’re not kidding! How lucky are we? 😍🙌

We got the pleasure of welcoming another of the RSPCA’s Labradoodles into our clinic today! 😍

This sweet angel got to spend some pamper time with one of our lovely groomers, Lily. Being showered with love, pats and attention, she sure lapped it all up and is well on her way to looking absolutely fabulous and ready to head off into her foster home 💖

Most of you would have seen our cheeky tri-paw girl bounding around the clinic keeping us all on our toes with the mischief she gets into 🥹

Today we had the pleasure of helping out the RSPCA Tasmania with part of their Mission with the Labradoodles 🩵

Our lovely girls volunteered their time to help get these poochies clipped up, bathed and feeling more comfortable! It was an all day task but our girls gave it everything they have, and then some 🫶🏼

One of the lucky boys even got to share someone’s lunch, sweet potato curry was pretty alright he thought 🤭🧡

Baby Rory and I are over the moon to share the news that A Bark Above is in the running as a finalist for Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Award for 2024 🥹

After what has been the most dreadful, darkest and hardest few months, receiving this in the mail was an absolute joy and I’m honoured to be considered for this award!

The sun always shines again after the biggest storms, and holding Aurora in my arms while beaming with pride at being recognised at this level, is the sun after my storms ☀️

The Small Business Awards night in April was an absolute incredible experience and we met some of the kindest, most genuine and supportive people. But to be here today, now holding another finalist certificate, it brings back all the brilliant memories, laughs, smiles and honour to be considered a champion for Women in Small Business 🤯🥹

I am so grateful for all of you that make what I do, a joy and bringing me the proudest moments of my career. This year has been huge and we’ve only just clocked over half way… what else is possible 🤭🤍
