Yesterday Kevin one of our previous Puppy Schoolers came back and spent the day with us to have a desexing surgery.
He has grown so much since our last Puppy School class!

Want to de-sex your male dog but don't want to go through surgery? Chemical castration is an option! Little Frank here (who is so adorable!) spent a morning with us last week getting a Superlorin implant put in. Only a mild sedation is needed, and Frank got a lot of cuddles from nurse Macey🐾

A reminder to keep all sweet treats away from our pets! Chocolate is most definitely a no - no, and so are lollies!
Lollies contain an artificial sweetener that is toxic to our pets, so remember to keep your Halloween stash far out of your pets reach.

🐾 Meet Lotti! 🐍

Lotti was in this week for treatment after a snake bite, and has thankfully made a full recovery.

This is our second snake bite case this week, so we want to remind everyone to stay cautious when leaving pets outdoors unsupervised, especially on hot, sunny days. Be mindful of long grass and warm surfaces like rocks, where snakes love to sunbathe.

Signs of a snake bite to watch out for:

- Sudden collapse
- Enlarged pupils
- Shaking or trembling
- Vomiting
- Excessive drooling
- Pale gum colour

A bite may not always be visible, so if you notice any of these symptoms or spot a snake nearby, it’s crucial to get your pet to the vet right away and, if possible, call ahead so we can prepare and treat your pet faster.
Stay safe, and keep an eye on your furry friends!
