oarding Kennels your dog will be well looked after in a clean and caring facility, where we offer balanced diets, daily exercise, and much more. We are a fully licensed home-away-from-home for your best friends. As dog owners ourselves, we know how important it is to you to ensure your dog is safe and well looked after when you’re holidaying or working. We accept dogs of all, ages and abilities, and we welcome your mature pet. We supply comfortable trampoline style beds. All dogs are housed in individual kennels and you may wish to bring your pets favourite bedding or toys to make them feel right at home. Those with special requirements will be given the attention they deserve. We have large grassed free run areas for supervised plays which contain shell style pools for the warmer months. At Down South Boarding Kennels we are proud of our facilities and inspections by appointment are more than welcome. If your dog has never stayed with us before, an initial free trial day at least two week before your booking is our preference. This is to make sure your dog is comfortable with us, and other dogs, and will ensure they have a great longer term stay whilst you are away. Providing great service is very important to us, and ensuring the safety of your dogs and the cleanliness of their kennels is of top priority. Special diets, medication or other special requirements are all in the boarding cost. We want your boarding experience to be a pleasurable one for you and your pet. Our Bunbury Daycare centre is conveniently situated in the centre of Bunbury offering care and fun for your dog while you are at work or have appointments, with full day and half day options and we also offer hourly care if we have availability. **Update**
Bush fires have been down graded and we are all back home at the kennels! Long night and morning but everyone and everything is safe. Reception will re-open as normal this afternoon.
Thank you again to everyone that helped! Best to be safe than sorry and the rain couldn't have come at a better time!

With the bush fire close and Argyle going in a watch and act the decision was quickly made to evacuate....

All dogs are safe and secure, we are all having a big sleep out, with the amazing support and help from Harradine & Associates and Scout About Doggie Day Care and Pet Care!

Thank you to everyone who was able to get through to help transport the dogs and those that contacted for help and support, I really can't thank you enough!
(Sorry if I missed getting back to anyone!!)

Hopefully will be heading back in the morning depending on advice level.

The dogs were all amazing with the evacuation, all handled it well and all behaved, proud of each and everyone of them!

Thank you again and love seeing everyone get together at times like these!

Reception will be closed for Check-ins and Check-outs on the following days in 2025, due to being open on the public holidays around these dates.
All bookings to be booked prior to or after these dates:

Alot has been happening in the last few weeks at the kennels!
Big upgrades again!

All 16 standard kennels are minimum 2mtrs high with 50x50 weld mesh with solid pannels between all family size kennels ensuring safety and security for all dogs boarding. No more chain link wire!

Both custom sheds are and in progress of being fully insulated to keep all pups warmer or cooler depending on the time of year.
Keeping everyone happy and content during their stay 😁🐾

Looking for a casual employee for minimum 1 day a week. Will include additional days to fill in for other staff, sick leave and holiday periods. Must be flexible and be available between 6am-6pm. (Split shifts are required)

Working with dogs, cleaning kennels, ground maintenance. feeding, walking, supervising play times etc.
Must be reasonable fit, able to lift and carry 20kg, can handle dogs of all sizes and ages, drivers license (manual license preferred).

Suitable for semi retired or someone looking minimal work hours.
