Drouin Vet Clinic Consultation by appointment. Emergency after hours. LIVESTOCK OWNERS - We provide services for cattle, horses, alpaca and other farm animals.

PET OWNERS - We provide all standard veterinary services such as vaccinations, desexing, microchipping, dental work etc. plus we have in house x-ray, blood testing & laboratory and ultrasound facilities (useful for pregnancy evaluation). We also have a hydrobath for dog washing and we are accredited with AQIS for export preparation of cats and dogs. Some of our vets are accredited for AQIS export

preparation and Government programs such as the JD CattleMAP and AlpacaMAP. We have two portable ultrasound units - one for pregnancy testing alpaca and horses and one designed specifically for pregnancy testing cattle. We also have a vet who has a special interest in equine dentistry.

Yesterday, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Gracie, the most adorable little puppy, for her 2nd vaccinations! This brave girl handled everything like a champ, showing us just how courageous she is. Of course, no visit would be complete without plenty of cuddles, and Gracie made sure to soak them all up before heading home. It’s always a joy to see our furry friends grow and thrive. Well done, Gracie! 💕

Taco is a prime example of the independent, yet affectionate nature that makes Shiba Inus so special. With their fox-like appearance and spirited personality, they truly stand out! 😍

Fun Fact: Shiba Inus are famous for their “Shiba 500” – a burst of high-speed energy where they run in circles and zoom around like little rockets! 🚀💨

Meet Ziggy, our sweet little superstar who was in today for his desexing procedure! 💙 Ziggy was so brave throughout the day, but post-op, he needed a little extra TLC. Dr. Ebony was more than happy to step in, giving Ziggy all the cuddles he needed to feel safe and loved while waking up from his anaesthetic .

Rest up, Ziggy—you’ll be back to your playful self in no time! 🐾

Missing Cat ‘Crumpy’ small Devon Rex. Crumpy is an inside cat, so he does not have street smarts. Crumpy is brown with a crinkly fur and golden eyes. Missing from Kamanari crt Drouin since Christmas night. Our family are worried sick. Please keep a look out for him.

If you think you have seen Crumpy please let us know so that we can pass on the information to his very worried owners.

Today, we raise a paw 🐾 to Dr. Matt, who’s been a cornerstone of Drouin Vet Clinic for the past 25 years! The years have brought countless memories, unwavering dedication, and a lifetime of care for our beloved patients.

There’s a book’s worth of stories from his journey—some heartwarming, some hilarious, and all a testament to his passion for veterinary care. (Maybe we’ll convince him to write it one day!)

And while the years have turned his hair white, let’s just call it a badge of honor for all the wisdom he’s accumulated… or the occasional stress of wrangling cattle and wayward pets!

Here’s to you, Dr. Matt—thank you for 25 incredible years of care, compassion, and commitment to our community. Here’s to many more! 🐶🐱🐴🐾

👂✨ Wondering if your pet is hosting some uninvited guests in their ears? Look out for signs like excessive scratching, head shaking, dark discharge, yucky smell or redness. If you suspect ear mites or infections, don’t wait! Reach out to DVC’s caring staff for guidance and support. Your pet’s comfort is our priority! 💛 The video attached is looking at a sample from a patients ear under the microscope.🪳

DVC has a BullCheck accredited veterinarian available for bull fertility testing. We also have two vets who have a special interest in equine dentistry. As of November 2018 we provide equine reproductive services through a specialised clinic located at Randal Park.
