Sweet little Sally spent the day with our team on Friday for her desexing procedure. She was given loads of love and attention and top-notch care every step of the way!

At Straddie Vet, we offer on-site pre-anaesthetic blood test. The procedure itself includes, a pre-operative examination, sedation, anaesthesia induction and maintenance, peri-operative intravenous fluids and careful pain management, constant, close monitoring before, during and post surgery by a dedicated highly trained nurse. The surgical procedure is performed under sterile conditions in a dedicated surgical room. Your pet will go home with pain relief, and if needed, medication to help keep them quiet while they recover, an Elizabeth collar to protect their surgical wound from licking and will also be given 2 post-operative check ups. All this with tonnes of love and care! 🐾❤️

Poor Basil was rushed into Straddie Vet with sore eyes, puffy face, red raw ears and feeling pretty sorry for himself. We began treatment immediately to help him feel more comfortable. 💕
Here he is enjoying a little sunshine outside with Nurse Tarah. Such a sweet dude. 🙌

Little Lilly, who is Nurse Tarah's 13yo Chihuahua came in for a dental to get her teeth all nice and clean. We started with a comprehensive blood test and preoperative examination to ensure she was fit and healthy to go under anaesthetic. Once she was asleep we took some dental radiographs to check the health of her teeth below her gumline. Then we got those little teeth all clean again. She was a super star patient!💕

At short notice, I have been offered an amazing opportunity to use my veterinary skills to help a wildlife orphanage in Zambia. So I’m just about to jump on a plane. I’ll be back mobile consulting on the island on May 16th. Online bookings are open. See you soon Straddie.
