No photos tonight unfortunately but the pup’s are growing bigger and have opened their eyes and seeing the world !

One of the larger males is showing real nice vocals and have high hopes for him in the future!

7 absolutely cracking little pups, 3 boys 4 girls, 3 black and tan and 4 red and tan.

Mum and pups are doing amazing, 7 all up ! 3 black and 4 red pups. I’ll be giving em a few days and then start seeing what the mix is.

I’ve been a little preoccupied lately with some exciting things happens around the farm. With the feed lot slowly getting cleaned up and winter set in, I’m able to burn off some of the stumps.

I’ve been able to make a start on some more cleaning for paddock for grazing.

And the best news yet,

THE LITTLE ONES ARE HERE. MAYHEM AND MADNESS ARE ON THEIR WAY

I keep forgetting about posting on here, mainly as work has picked up but this rain has slowed me down a little bit again 😂

The little holding yard is currently a big puddle of mud and the feed lot isn’t far off yet. But it’s slowly getting cleaner and cleaner.

Currently waiting for the rain to die off so I can burn the last stump out and finish leveling it.

So went and picked the sheep up today due to needing em for tomorrow, but in the time they’ve been there, they’ve completely eaten out the small outdoor area that was over grown with quite a few weeds and old veggies as well as having made a dent in the backyard that was a foot or two deep with grass.

The owner can now access both areas with a mower to neaten everything up.

Lawn mowing

Well a few sheep and one of the goats are away for a little having a munch and cleaning

Again I’ve been relatively quiet, ended up having to have emergency surgery on the weekend, and then the next day had to pick these guys up. A little bit more variety and harder sheep for the more experienced dogs. The next thing to do will be a pickup of all the rubbish to clean the area up, and building a small square yard with a race for backing training.

Introducing the new pup Mia

For Mia this was an introduction to stock and assessment to see what she was like, an absolutely beautiful cast, that needs some control put on to stop that ringing (cutting in front of the stock and turning on themselves) which will be achieved with a long line and experience to help with direction, from there we’ll be putting on a stop

Tarney’s First day on the race

Here we are introducing Tarney to working the outside of the race pushing sheep up. Using my voice to encourage a little noise from her, while also using my body to create pressure to keep her moving back and the sheep forward.

Mik’s first day

This is a throw back to earlier this year in March when I first got Mik and introduced him to stock, wasn’t asking for much just wanting to see his reaction and he blew me away.

Pip

Introducing Pip, hard as nails and twice as wiry. She is an absolute love bug with the drive to match. She’ll work all day, in the toughest conditions and won’t give up. Thick scrub ? No worries she’ll be a bull dozer, open plains ? She’ll cast out beyond sight and set em.
