WE’RE HIRING!
Now, before you get too excited – we’re NOT hiring for Doggie Day Care at this stage!!
But .. we are in need of Dog Walkers and Pet Homestay Visitors!
Our Dog Walkers do both casual dog walks (eg client’s go on holidays and need someone to walk their doggie for a week or so), or more permanent dog walks (eg walking Fluffy 2 times per week, every week).
Pet Homestay Visits are where we visit the client’s home to walk, feed, clean up poo in the yard, fresh water, clean out kitty litter (if the booking is for cats), bring mail in, bins in/out, water the plants if needed and so on.
Dog Walks and Pet Homestay Visits are either a half hour, 45 minutes or one hour.
Both of these positions would suit someone who has another part time/casual job, is studying, or is retired
To be considered, you must be over 17 years of age, have a drivers licence and a car, and of course you need to be fit and strong enough to walk dogs.
We generally do not accept bookings for dogs that will drag us down the street or dogs that are ‘off the charts’ dog reactive (eg will drag you across the road to get to another dog).
Some of the dogs we walk are reactive, and we can usually avoid interactions with other dogs, but if they’re leaping in the air or dragging you to get at another dog, we won’t accept those bookings.
When a new client books, you are required to attend a Meet n Greet at the client’s home prior to the booking going ahead.
After attending Pet Homestay Visits or walking dogs, you will need to send photo’s of the pets to the clients and a short description letting them know their pets are ok (or if there are any issues).
You must be reliable, punctual, of the utmost integrity, and of course an animal lover!
Because the client’s home is your workplace, you are not permitted to have anyone else with you when you attend Pet Homestay Visits or Dog Walks. No one is allowed on or in the client’s premises except Scout About Employees.
You will be required to obtain a Police Clearance if your application is successful.
Ideally we’d like 2 x new Team Members between Australind and town, and 2 x new Team Members between Dalyellup and town.
PLEASE don’t phone to discuss this or ask questions in the comments section of this post – I won’t be replying here. And please don't text me about it. I want all applications, questions and so on kept within the same platform - emails 😅
If you're interested in applying, please email me with a short description about your experience with animals, the suburb you live in, and your availability for work on an ongoing basis to [email protected]
If there are any questions, I can address them via email.
If you do email, please be sure to check your spam/junk folder, because I WILL reply to all job applications within a couple of days.
Thank you, from Loren and Scouty ❤️🐾
