URGENT REHOMING REQUIRED CASH NEEDS A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE.

THIS DOG IS NOT WITH US WE ARE JUST TRYING TO FIND A SOLUTION.

Cash is a 7 year old Great Dane x Mastiff.

A few months ago Cash was found alone at Tarro park where it appears he had been dumped. Cash was taken to have his microchip scanned however no owner came forward. Cash was then taken in by the people who found him however due to unforeseen circumstance they are unable to keep him and is due to be euthanised by December 21st if he doesn’t find a home.

Cash has a beautiful temperament, loves a cuddle and to be close to his human.

He gets along well with other dogs, however he doesn’t seem to take to non des*xed male dogs.

Cash is good with kids however hasn’t been left unattended with children.

Cash knows how to sit and wait for his dinner, he doesn’t bark often unless he is demanding dinner. Cash is happy to be indoors or outdoors and is toilet trained.

Cash’s microchip no. Is: 900079000193378

Also he is des*xed, vaccinated and up to date with Nexgard Spectra.

If you're interested in meeting Cash, please contact CCACF on 0499 900272

Welcome to Monday Mates!

As many of you will know, we are fortunate enough to not only be friends with many other rescue groups but to have partnerships with several rescues in particular.

These rescue groups are an amazing support system for us and they frequently rescue animals from our facility. This not only gives the animals more exposure and training but the animals go straight into a foster home rather than staying in the kennel environment.

This week we've had one of our rescue partners reach out to us asking for help.

You see, they're only a new rescue group and are still going through the motions to become a registered charity. Starting a rescue group/charity is a slow & arduous process (often taking up to 8 months to have everything set in place) and it can be an incredibly stressful & isolating time.

In the last few weeks (from our facility alone) Nine Lives Cat Rescue have taken on 4 pregnant mums (who have all given birth to 5+ kittens) as well as 4 x 12wk old kittens. During this time, they've also taken on multiple surrenders from the community and they've now reached capacity with their foster carers.

We're wanting to bring more attention to this wonderful rescue, their dedicated volunteers and of course, the animals they have in their care.

For anyone looking for a new kitten to love, we have attached the photos & bio's of 4 very sweet babes who are on the lookout for their new loving families.

We would love for you to head over to (and follow) their page to show them how supportive our community can be.

By supporting them, you're also supporting us.

If you're interested in meeting any of their beautiful cats, please contact their friendly carers via Facebook Messenger.

Introducing Murphy!

Murphy is a domestic short hair born 21st February 2018.

Murphy is a very sweet boy who will rub up against you for attention. He loves having his cheeks rubbed and will raise his body to meet your hand if you stroke down his back to his tail area. He also has the biggest "Puss in Boots" eyes and isn't afraid to use them!

From our first meeting with him, he was happy to take treats from our hands and was instantly affectionate. He's quite a confident boy and we feel he'll settle well into most households.

We have only had Murphy for a short amount of time but he seems quite friendly with other cats & kittens. We believe he would be suitable to live with other cats or to be the spoilt "only child" in the home.

Murphy will be rehomed to a family who will keep him as an inside cat only.

Murphy is litter trained and would make a wonderful addition to most families.

If you think you could be that furever family for Murphy, please contact our friendly staff via email at [email protected] or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.

His adoption fee includes his des*xing, vaccination and lifetime registrations. He is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.

Murphy is currently located in East Maitland.

**UPDATE - ALL FUNDS HAVE BEEN RAISED**

This is Roxy! Can anyone tell me why she should loose her life?

Reality is I have a short window to help this girl and we are asking if you can help us help her.
Roxy came in as unchipped stray with another stray obviously a sibling, of course we suspected the finder immediately for a number of reasons I cant say just now because the matter is now with the NSW Police.

What I can say is this;
• She is an unmicrochipped stray which meant she had 7 days for an owner to come forward to claim her.
• Sadly I knew no one was coming forward as I suspected the finder was the owner
• We noticed she was not able to weight bare on her rear right leg. We noticed she had a bandage type tape attached to her leg and a shave mark on her left front leg
• She’s always growly at us humans and for good reason you see, she is injured and has been for quite sometime. She has a broken leg that has not been repaired. Our vets determined she has had a significant trauma to her, ie hit by a car or something else that has caused a very nasty broken tibia.

If anyone has ever suffered a broken bone, god knows how much pain you are in. This girl was and is still suffering in a lot of ways but the problem we have now is 3 options;

1) Euthanise her to end her suffering (This is the cheap and nasty option)
2) Amputate her leg – Our vet said she is a young girl and she deserves to have her leg especially when there is another option to save it (This has been quoted about $2000 but the least desirable outcome for a young dog)
3) Surgical – Debride the wound and plate it – She is young, healthy and has a very good chance at a successful outcome (This has been quoted from $7000-$12000 from different vets) more if she goes to a specialist. It is the longest out of all options but nothing good ever comes from quick and easy these days.

The dilemma I have is the council cannot spend tax payers money on a stray dog even if I prove who the owner is. I have spoken to rescues and no one is in the position to assist especially now Christmas is upon us and space is non existent with shelters, pounds and rescues.

It breaks my heart that someone has been so heartless to allow a beautiful animal to suffer the way she has for weeks. It’s worse when you are honest with the finder to say, there is a chance she may get euthanised as somethings are out of our hands. His response “oh can you ring me if it comes down to that” and then you find out he has deliberately given you an out of date mobile number that is no longer connected. Clearly he had no intention or interest to do the right thing.

I have fought hard to find a needle in a haystack to help this girl, buy her more time from 7 days to 14 days by proving the finder was the owner which I have done on Day 6, I never gave up. I spent countless hours tracking, following my gut, chasing leads and finally tracking this girl and her sister all the way to Sydney.

Now the next challenge is to raise the funds to help this girl by giving her a 2nd chance but I cant do it alone. We barely kick along most times like everyone else but it is not a reason an animal should pay the price.

I have 6 days to raise the funds and to save her from becoming another statistic, please I am begging will you please dear god help us give her a do over and to end her pain by surgery and not via anything else.

We also have another young dog Decker here dumped in the middle of nowhere that needs expensive surgery. All alone in the middle of nowhere, ears so infected he could barely keep his head up, skin condition so painful that it would have been excruciating and so emaciated you could feel every bone on his side and top of his back. Again it would be too easy to say “Sorry bud your too expensive to save” but that is not what true blue rescuers say or think.

My rescue is a not for profit organisation that is a registered charity therefore any donations over $2.00 is fully tax deductible. Please guys, if you can spare anything, please help Roxy and dogs like Decker that need expensive surgeries so that we can give them a chance at a new life no thanks to their previous owners who dumped them.

Rescue – Fighting for those who cannot speak. We cant stop people doing horrible things but we can do our best to undo what was done to them, one heartbeat at a time.

I know in my heart we can do this. I still have alot of challenges and hoops to get through but i wont give up on her or Decker but i need the communities help to say "No" we arent doing that!

We completely understand if your not in a position to donate, we really do appreciate it's hard times and it's Christmas, could you please share in the hope someone else can help in this dire time.

Ooh boy, ain't this the truth!

We see examples of this every day with people looking for animals to adopt.. hell, we even see the differences amongst the staff.

While some people want/need a smaller "shoe" (dog), others need their "feet" to breathe with something a bit bigger.

Neither side is right or wrong and we're all entitled to our preferences, but the main thing we can all agree on is, all "shoes" deserve a loving "foot" to call their own.. if you get what I mean (if you don't, all dogs deserve a loving home/family 😂).

Our Story

We are a dedicated team of animal lovers, desperate to secure loving homes for animals that deserve a second chance at life. We work closely with other pounds near and far to ensure as many re-homable* animals as possible can be saved. We are a no kill facility who also currently house the Central coast Pound.

Our director Dee, started in animal rescue in 2013 and is a keen advocate for responsible pet ownership, surrounded by an equally devoted team and group of volunteers, who go to extraordinary lengths to ensure all animals go to the right home. Working alongside local businesses spanning the entire Central Coast region, it is our goal to have all animals chipped and identified, while educating pet owners of the responsibility of pet ownership, unwanted litters and timely vet intervention.

100% of donations go directly towards the care of animals housed at the facility as well as transportation of animals at high kill shelters. The transport costs and unforeseen vet bills do account for many expenses and without the help of volunteers we would be unable to save as many animals as we currently do. We look forward to expanding to rescue many more animals who through no fault of their own have found themselves alone, unloved and some with only weeks to live.
