š¾ Foster Care Updateš¾
Rubble has been back with Pete for a week now and he had settled back in beautifully!
We thought we'd put together a little video/slideshow of some of this weeks antics.
As you'll see in the video, Rubble has learnt "shake" a bit too well.
With the storms last week he helped Pete prepare for a night without power. Candles, torch and a puppy dog with his favourite bunny toy.
He did pretty well during the storms. At its worst, he wedged himself behind the sofa for a while, but otherwise he just became even more cuddly than usual during the storms.
Rubble is still on the lookout for his forever family. If you're interested in meeting Rubble, please contact the facility on 0499 900272 or email [email protected]
His adoption fee has been reduced to $200 and he is in foster care in the Hunter region
Foster Care Update - Rubble
Pete has been sending us some adorable updates on Rubble lately and we couldn't resist sharing a few moments with you.
When Pete first took Rubble home he had very bad separation anxiety, he would go to the toilet inside & he was overall very shut down. We don't think he's ever been allowed to behave like a puppy and he had no idea what to do with toys.
As you'll see in the video, he's turned into an incredibly playful pup (still learning how to be a gentle player), he loves toys, he hasn't had a toileting accident for over two weeks and Pete can leave him home alone and he will happily snooze the hours away.
Rubble is still on the lookout for his forever home, so if you're interested in meeting this beautiful boy, please contact CCACF on 0499 900272 or email [email protected]
Foster Care Update - Jey
We've had a lovely little update on our gorgeous boy Jey who has been in foster care for quite some time now. He's such a gorgeous boy, but for some reason he's had absolutely no interest in him.
His foster carer has said;
"Just sending a quick update on Jay. Heās doing really well, heās been here 6 weeks now and is coming along in leaps and bounds. Heās a real cuddle bug, very gentle, is toilet trained (uses a dog door), sleeps inside at night and has recently started ātalkingā. He loves going for walk, he was nervous and jumpy on his initial walks and we couldnāt take him far but now he walks around the block in our quiet neighbourhood and greets anyone he meets and happily says hello to any dogs on the way. He had his first āpackā walk the other week, initially he was nervous but didnāt take too long to settle and he had a ball. Going outside of the neighbourhood to unfamiliar environments and where thereās a lot of traffic noise is still a little daunting but with patience he will adjust, slowly but surely. His confidence is growing daily. Jey and our older cat are getting on well."
Jey is such a gorgeous boy, so sweet, so affectionate. He truly deserves the most amazing home and loving family.

Jey's Foster Update
Tahnee's Tuesday Tails 15.10.24
Happy Tuesday everyone!
I just wanted to do a quick update on Jey.
Last week I showed you what being in a kennel can do to a dog, with Jey constantly spinning and trying to bite his tail.
His impound period ended late last week and early Saturday morning we had a lovely couple come in to take him into foster care.
While he's still learning how to "dog" properly, he's settling in very well and he's returned to being the beautiful boy he was when he first came to us. I'm told the only time he's spun is during zoomie sessions when he'll do one overexcited spin mid run.
This is what his foster carer has sent us;
"Morning, Iāve attached some pics etc and will try and get more over the coming days. I put some pjs on him last night and he slept much better, 3rd night so hopefully heās settling into a routine. No toilet accidents so far, we take him out regularly and that seems to work.
He loves being inside with us and seems happy to chill all day. Heās super sweet and cuddly. The outside world is still a bit scary, he doesnāt go far on his walks yet as gets anxious, Iām sure with time his confidence will improve. Heās getting on ok with the cat but has chased him twice outside, they seem to have a truce inside. Heās also chased birds who have come into the yard. Our neighbour let me know he was crying yesterday when I locked him outside, when I ducked out to get his tablets. Hopefully heāll adjust as time goes on".
As much as we'd love his foster family to fall in love and not be able to give him up, they've advised it is only a temporary placement, which means Jey is still on the lookout for his forever family.

Jey Needs A Foster Carer
Tahnee's Tuesday Tails 07.10.24
Happy Tuesday everyone!
This week I wanted to bring a bit of attention to our gorgeous boy Jey.
Jey is still has a day or two left on his impound period, but he is in desperate need of a foster carer or a rescue group to stand up for him.
When Jey was first brought in he was quite calm, very sweet and an all-round beautiful boy.
This is what (less than) 2 weeks in a kennel does for some dogs.
This is what being abandoned by their owner does to a dog.
This is what completely turning their world upside down does.
Jey is so stressed at the facility that he spins all day.
For a while, he would settle while we spent time with him or if he had treats.. but that doesn't work anymore.
We try to take him out to the yard for some free time but he can't enjoy himself.
He needs somewhere quiet (and by quiet I mean away from 20 other barking dogs) where he can decompress and settle back into himself.
If you'd love a dog but can't commit to adopting, please please please consider fostering. All food, leads etc are provided.
The difference a loving home can provide is astronomical. You can give Jey (and dogs like him) their sanity back. They didn't ask to be here. They've been discarded by their family without a second thought.. but that's all they think about.
Please contact the facility on 0499 900272 or email [email protected] if you're interested in fostering or adopting Jey.
He really is such a beautiful, cuddly and affectionate boy. He just needs to feel safe and loved again

Happy Tuesday everyone!
Are you all just as confused about how it's already October or is it just me?!
This week has gone incredibly fast so it'll only be a short blog today.
I know Alfie has already been adopted, but I wanted to talk about him today.
While Alfie was with us, he dug himself very deep into my heart. I know I've mentioned before that my heart belongs to the big boofy dogs, but sometimes you can't help who your heart connects to and connect it did.
There was just something so pure about him that I fell hard and fast.. I think he felt it too š
It's so hard when we get in dogs like Alfie in. Dogs who have no manners, have had no training but love whole heartedly. The staff and volunteers fall for them because we see through their faults, but it can be hard for people visiting the facility to be able to see their potential.
Thankfully for Alfie, James was able to see this side of him.
When these kind of dogs do find their new families, the first couple days can be quite nerve-wracking for us because we're hoping the dogs are on their best behaviour and we don't receive a call saying they're too much and need to be returned.
Alfie was adopted on Sunday afternoon and at 7 o'clock on Monday morning Dee received a call from James and her heart immediately sank. A call this early is never a good thing.. except this time it was.
James wanted to call to say how much he'd fallen in love overnight and the plans he had for Alfie with his training etc. He was incredibly happy with his new companion and just wanted to say thank you.
Well, as you can imagine, we all did a huge sigh of relief and our hearts were warmed knowing Alfie was safe and very much loved.
Now Dee and I did a video on him where we used a bit of trial and error training to try to help with his walking and jumping manners. This was going to be to show his potential and to hopefully aid in finding him a new home, (which is obviously no longer n

We've had a hilarious update on our beautiful Wendy. She's clearly loving her new life!
Update - Thanks to the wonderful people who donated, Aeres has gpne home. Thank you so much for getting this boy home.
***Trigger Warning*** - Urgent Freedom Buster
We are definately on our way but still need $168 to get him home
Urgent Freedom Buster
Aeres is not coping in impound and we need to get him home.
- He is barking non stop that he makes himself vomit
- He is jumping up on the door and walls he has caused himself to bleed
- He constantly knocks over his water trying to get out
- Heās going downhill
Last night there was so much vomit, diarrhoea and blood we immediately parvo tested himā¦. It was negative.
Dee stayed back to monitor him and Thankfully overnight she was able to get him calmed down by just being with him. He needs his family.
Aeres dad and mum split up and his dad took him with him but found himself homeless so he left Aeres with friends. Unbeknownst to him, he was roaming the streets for a few days according to witnesses.
Both mum and dad have both said he is stressing and needs to be home with the kids. His mum has spoken to her ex and they have agreed that she will take him back as he needs the kids and he needs to be in a stable and secure home.
Issue is mum is a single mum and she doesnāt have the funds to get him out. Sheās rung around to see if she can borrow it but sadly no one can assist us.
We need to help him. We need to raise $548
to get him out of impound.
Registration $273
Impound Fees $200
Reimb Medical Expenses $75
