Just another lovely morning on our little piece of heaven.
Big Bull (soul dog) and little Freddy (poddy lamb) keeping me company as we do the rounds.
Big Bull has come a long way, from escaping death row at the pound, to becoming an amazing family dog and best mate.
We couldn’t be happier.
There are some pretty amazing dogs at the pound.
Big Bull came to us from Blacktown City Animal Holding Facility, through one of the rescues for training, and we couldn’t help it, we just had to adopt him.
Lots of love and clear direction goes a long way ❤️
G’day everyone!
Thank you for all your words of support!
Power is back up and running again, Richmond bridge is open and accessible.
Windsor bridge and Wilberforce Rd should be accessible as well over the next couple of days.
But easy in and out via Richmond for now.
Stay safe everyone!
The video clip is just for fun!
G’day everyone.
Due to this outbreak of Covid -19
We are not seeing people face to face at the moment, but I am making some tutorial videos that will cover everything from basic obedience to advanced obedience, to reactivity around people, dogs and other animals.
Separation issues, etc.
These can be acquire at a small price as well as phone consultations and video calls.
STAY TUNED 🙂
Please let me
Know if you have any special request and I’ll make sure to address those things too. 🙂
But here is a small snippet.
Let me know what you think and where it can improve.
P.s. in this video I’m working with a dog I’ve already worked with, but I’ll make the videos with dogs that aren’t already trained so you can properly see how they transition from reactive to responsive.
I hope you enjoy!
CHECK OUT THIS BEFORE AND AFTER VIDEO.
This video was filmed over one training Session.
Meet beautiful Bella, ❤️ who was rescued by a wonderful family.
Bella is a lovely dog, but tends to exhibit reactive tendencies when she meets dogs, due to her insecurity/fear (the anticipation of a negative outcome) when encountering dogs, (either due to bad experiences, a lack of experience, or a bit of both).
We worked on her ability to follow directions, so we could communicate with her when she felt vulnerable and guide her mind from fight mode to a responsive state of mind.
Bella, Rhett and Natasha have work to do, to take what they learnt on the day and apply it consistently to their world.
Confidence = the ability to anticipate a positive outcome from the given scenario, can only come from experience.
I have all the faith in Rhett, Natasha and lovely Bella.
they are so caring, devoted and committed,
I know they’ll do brilliantly. 👍
This is the Majestic “Benson” an American Bulldog rescued at the last moment from being put to sleep for his reactivity to other dogs and humans.
He was put on drugs (medication) for 4 months by the Vet in an attempt to calm him down, before they decided he could not be helped and was due to be put to sleep.
Only Hours before death, a wonderful rescue by the name Mini’s Bulldog Rescue, stepped in and took ownership over him.
He came to stay with us for a bit and learn basic structure, social skills with people and other dogs and some much needed coping tools to deal with pressure.
We took him off the drugs immediately, and started his training and rehabilitation process.
He’s come a long way in 3 weeks.
Does he look like a dog that needs drugs??
Or can’t be helped??
He’s a big beautiful friendly giant pup.
Anyone who is lucky enough to adopt him,
will feel like they’ve won the lotto.
He’s a big teddy bear. 🙂
HE’S READY FOR HIS PERMANENT HOME.
This beautiful girl is a 2 year old Kelpie who was Rescued by POUND Rescue.
She is staying with us on the farm, and getting, lots of love, consistent structure and delicious food.
She’s gone from a nervous insecure dog, to a dog with much more confidence and purpose.
She is a little angel, obedient and extremely affectionate.
and anyone who adopts her will feel like they’ve won the lotto.
Any enquires to POUND RESCUE.
