What does hydrotherapy do for dogs?

Injury management -
Benefits of underwater treadmill therapy include:

•Earlier commencement of rehabilitation
•Accelerated strengthening and •growth of muscle
•Improved weight bearing
•Re-education of normal gait
•Shorter rehabilitation time and faster return to function
•Improved fitness while exercise is restricted
•Prolonged mobility in weak or frail patients

Other benefits of hydrotherapy

•weight management (soft on joints but a physical challenge - think water aerobics )
• muscle conditioning for show, agility or working dogs (gets them fit and less likely to incur injuries),
•great for high energy dogs when extremely hot (the dog gets exercise without overheating, no risk of burnt paws and owner gets to exercise dog in air conditioned comfort)

A hydrotherapy assessment is required for all pets before they can commence underwater treadmill therapy.

It's been a big couple of weeks. Internal walls are going up, finalising electrical plan and booking the hyrdo machine to be installed.

Leaps & Bounds Echuca has now taken possession of our clinic. This has been a journey, but I feel like we are now in the end game.

Over the coming weeks, we will be doing an internal fit out (rooms, electrical, our beautiful machine, couches etc).

While we are getting ready to open our clinic and introduce Echuca to canine hydrotherapy, we will still be available for at home massage and laser therapy.
