We've worked with a lot of stallions over the years- young, old, chilled out and sharp.

This boy hasn't put a foot wrong with his winter training program.

He catches us in the paddock, walks past a front paddock full of mares, a yard of boisterous weanlings, and straight up onto the float. Rugs, noises, new things- nothing fazes him.

Very excited to have him under saddle

Unfortunately, we need to remind people that the stud is private property, and all visitors must be by appointment.

Please don't park at our gate and feed horses across the fence, as they may be stallions, in quarantine or otherwise unsuited to having a visit.

Trespassers are on video, and will be reported.

Brookside Romsey is by Renegade Z, out of Bellhaven Blue Moon (Bellhaven True Blue x Bellhaven Caslan). This c**t is for sale to a competition home, and is from a proven damline of jumpers and progenators.

His damline is a fantastic blend of Mr Blue (via Bellhaven True Blue), Corrado/Alme (via Bellhaven Coraldo), Cassini II (via Bellhaven Caslan), and some excellent thoroughbred blood- notably Sir Tristram and Sovereign Path.
His great granddam, Look at me Grace, is a prolific producer of top horses, incuding the stallion Bellhaven Chocolat, the mare Bellhaven Cairo (dam of stallion Bellhaven Blue Gum), and the mare Bellhaven Oracle- the dam of Misty Blue, and the granddam of the beautiful Kannan stallion, Bellhaven Nullarbor.

Early today, at the grand age of nearly 25, Renegade picked a beautiful spot under his favourite old tree, dug up some soft ground, and laid down one last time.

He passed with his head in our arms, being kissed and told how much we love him. His best mate, Marc Bath, was here by his side.

I have no proper words. We loved him so much.
