At Swans Veterinary Services we provide an extensive range of mixed practice services both ‘on farm’ and at our fully equipped veterinary hospital. SVS strives to provide the latest equipment & knowledge to treat your animals and services Esperance, Ravensthorpe & the surrounding areas. Our team of skilled veterinarians & nurses will ensure the highest quality of care is given to your animals in a

friendly environment to make their visit as pleasant as possible & your experience educational & rewarding. We provide sound and helpful advice in those "what-do-do-next" situations. Also at SVS, we are the primary providers of Ear notch testing for BVDV using a robust and sensitive test which will either confirm the presence or lack of the virus in your cattle herd. We also provide Antibody testing on Bulk Milk samples, which gives a results that is quantitatively indicitive of the level of exposure of BVDV to your herd. Overall, we aim to provide the customer with a service second to none, with a positive and friendly attitude, and professional approach to every case. We provide sound and helpful advice in those "what-to-do-next" situations, and we find that many concerns can be eased once everyone involved is informed of the circumstances and necessary actions to be taken. We pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive and friendly service catered to the needs of the pets.

New Visiting Hours at Our Hospital 🏥

To ensure we provide the best possible care for your pets and give our veterinary team dedicated time to communicate effectively and focus on treatments, we are implementing new visiting hours from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. ⏰

Why the Change?
Mornings are a very busy time at the hospital, with surgeries, check-ups, and patients waking up from procedures. It’s a crucial time for our team to stay focused and keep the hospital as calm as possible. By reserving afternoons for visits, we can offer a quieter environment that allows for better, more personal interactions with you and your pet. 🐶❤️

Thank you for your understanding and support as we work to provide a calmer, more comfortable experience for everyone! 🐾💙

The RSPCA for the Be Wise Sterilise program, which is supported by funding from the state government. This program is available for concession card holders, WA senior card holders, and pensioners. 🐾

🎆🎇🎆 A reminder about the fireworks tomorrow night (Friday). Please make sure your pets are prepared! 🎇🎆🎇

✨🧨AGRICULTURE SHOW FIREWORKS @ 8PM FRIDAY🧨✨

Get ready for an exciting fireworks display at the local show this Friday night! But let's not forget about our furry friends who might not share the same enthusiasm for the fireworks as we do! 🐾

Fireworks can be quite distressing for animals, so here are some simple steps to minimize their stress and keep them safe:

🎇 Ensure your pets are wearing ID tags and their microchip details are up to date. This way, if they get scared and run off, they can find their way back to you.

🎇 Take a recent picture of your pet, just in case they decide to pull a Houdini and try to escape. We all know how sneaky they can be!

🎇 Before the fireworks start, make sure your pets are well-exercised and have a full tummy. This can help them feel more relaxed and less anxious.

🎇 Keep your animals indoors in a safe, secure, and comfortable environment. Create a cozy den for them to retreat to when the booms and bangs begin.

🎇 If you have horses, securely stable them away from the firework noises. They deserve a stress-free night too!

🎇 Leave the TV or radio on to mask the sounds of the fireworks. Maybe your pets will enjoy a little dance party of their own!

🎇 If your pets are prone to fireworks or storm panic, stay at home with them, remain calm, and carry on with your normal activities. They look up to us for guidance, so let's show them that everything is okay.

🎇 Engage your pets in their usual activities like playing and reward them for their calm behavior. Treats and their favourite toys can work wonders!

🎇 If you need additional help or your pet consistently struggles with anxiety during fireworks or other loud events, don't hesitate to make an appointment with one of our veterinarians. We can provide additional advice and recommend anxiety-relief medications if necessary. There are treatment options available for managing noise phobias, and we can discuss any new treatments or consider using a Thundershirt (an anxiety shirt) for your furry friend. Your pet's well-being is our priority!

Let's enjoy the fireworks responsibly and take precautions to protect our pets and wildlife. Together, we can make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable evening!💙
