POTENTIAL BUYER: how much is the puppy?
BREEDER: $2500
POTENTIAL BUYER: What ?? This is way too expensive!!
BREEDERS: what do you think would be a good prize?
POTENTIAL BUYER: Not more than $1000/$1500
Yโall breeders are so over priced.
BREEDERS: I am sorry that you see it this way, why don't you give it a try yourself?
POTENTIAL BUYER: But I've never done it before!
BREEDERS: FREE I can teach you how to do it, plus you will have the knowledge to do it again.
POTENTIAL BUYER: Perfect, Thank you!
BREEDERS: To begin with, you need a female dog (average cost $3000 and more). Also a male (average $3000 and more) or semen (average $3000 and more). They have to conduct gene and health tests on them, which on average cost about $1500 per dog. Raising for 2 years and caring for, feeding and grooming daily. (So at least $300 per month)
POTENTIAL BUYER: But I don't have that much money...
BREEDERS: For $2500 you can raise a litter and then keep one of the puppies. Of course, you cover the cost of littering and grooming.
POTENTIAL BUYER: I can do that.
BREEDERS: OK so I have a female dog expecting a litter in 2 weeks. Must be available 24/7 to assist with birth and care for at least 8 weeks.
POTENTIAL BUYER: Eight weeks ?? it's way too much time for me! I need work .
BREEDERS: You will also need the reproductive vet to perform X-rays $100-$2500 possibly progester tests ($100) and a C-section ($1000 to $1500) as well as initial veterinary care of the puppies, until they old enough to be placed.
In case of emergency, keep a scale, thermometer, latex gloves, disinfectant, absorbent wipes, scissors, dish clamps, heating pad, litter box, blankets, cleaning agent, suitable food with supplements for mothers, infant food, Medications and supplies ready for hand feeding. ...
POTENTIAL BUYER: But I don't have all these things!
BREEDERS: You can buy them for $1000/$2000
POTENTIAL BUYER: Hmm... You know I think Iโd better just buy a puppy.
BREEDER : Wise decision .
For us breeders there are no holidays or holidays, while you visit family and friends, we are at home with our dogs taking care of them. It's a no break commitment.
