Barley grass seed alertπ¨
We are starting to see barley grass seeds work their way into eyes, ears and mouths of horses.
Please look out for signs of discomfort as these seeds cause a lot of ulceration and inflammation where they lodge.

We have had a lot of enquiries lately about standing stallions this coming season & collection for freezing - we are getting excited for a busy season! To answer a few general questions about cost of such things & timing ; any stallions that we have not collected before will have an initial collection & training fee of $450, we usually have the boys jumping happily within a day or two. A collection & freeze will cost $880, and you will generally have between 6-10 doses per freeze, sometimes less on the first test freeze as we will try some different extenders to see what the semen responds to best. Collection & packaging for chilled semen is $385, which is billed to the mare owner. The cooler months are best for training new & young stallions, and for collection for freezing as the cooler temperatures are kinder to the boys & they are a bit more relaxed during the off season. Itβs time to start planning for the breeding season now & get your boy/s booked in & in form early!! All above prices are subject to GST & agistment fees.
Any further enquiries or to book please feel free to contact Dr Paul Lubbe on 0400 417 643 or Stella Harbison on 0439 868 158 any time. π¦π¦π¦
