Well snake season has hit us already, we have had 6 patients present after being bitten in the last week.

Be vigilant around the backyard, keep grass short and clean up any leaf piles and rubbish. Keep dogs on the lead when out for a walk, and keep cats indoors!

-Collapse, sometimes followed by a quick recovery but then will collapse again later on
-Shaking, muscle twitching
-Reduced eye blinking
-Displayed pupils
-Vomiting
-Loss of bladder and/or bowels
-Dark brown coloured urine
-Paralysis
-Difficulty breathing, rapid breathing
-Not eating or absent gag reflex (cats)

If you suspect your pet has been bitten, seek immediate vet attention.

Good news story today, Sophie brought Riki in for her pregnancy ultrasound today and we found multiple foetuses inside Riki’s uterus.
This is after using our services to inseminate Riki with frozen semen all the way from Germany.
Congratulations Sophie & Riki, can’t wait to meet the pups!!

Great way to start the week, hearing that Rhonda gave birth to her brood of 9 over the weekend.

What a way to finish the week, delivering these 10 greyhound pups.
After a successful frozen semen insemination here at the clinic nine weeks ago, we were thrilled to be able to deliver these guys.

It’s great to be able to help out a breeders plan/wish for their breeding program to continue.
Shire came in today ready to have her litter and via c-section she delivered 10 healthy pups.
This was after successful artificial insemination using frozen semen sent all the way from Germany.
Congratulations to our clients. Can’t wait to watch these grow.

A special patient today, Miss Evie was in for a wing amputation after an unfortunate encounter with a goanna. The procedure was a success and she even left us a little surprise on the surgery table when she laid an egg during the procedure.
