In fulfilling this aim, we have taken in almost 700 Brumbies from the Alpine and Barmah National Parks in Victoria, the Kosciuszko and Guy Fawkes National Parks and Bago State Forest in New South Wales.

Our CopRice Australian Brumby Challenge has started BIG with more than 40 Trainers applying! It was such a hard task for us to choose that we added an extra three places to have 14 Trainer positions!

I’ve unfortunately come to the realisation that I just don’t have enough hours in the day and it’s time to downsize. 🥲 River has been my go to horse. He’s been to countless weekends away up the bush, cow clinics, team penning days, pub rides, rail trail missions and has even been to an obstacle course day! He has tackled absolutely everything I have thrown at him like a pro. He’s approx 11 years old and about 15.2 hands. I was told he is a purebred paint sire by KMP Switched on. (I never looked further into this). I personally believe he’d suit any discipline or be an all round fun horse for someone. He does require an experienced home. I’ve been missing in action because life has been hectic the past week or so being away completing my practicals for an equine sports massage course I’ve been doing! Arriving back where we were staying late and then venturing out for a ride in the dark. Also having little to no service. Over the weekend Major went to his first clinic, a cow clinic. Experiencing the atmosphere of horses everywhere, indoors, flag and cows and well it’s fair to say that he worked it all out very quickly.
