Emergency vets at our sister site ARH Gosford are currently treating a number of patients for tick paralysis.

Dr Natashia Evans, Emergency and Critical Care Specialist, ARH Gosford “Ticks are out in force and pets should be protected all year round.

“We’re seeing cases of pets who have lapsed treatment by one or two days, make sure you have your reminders set. Even giving your pet their prevention treatment, a couple of days early will ensure that they’re continually protected."

Make sure your pets are up to date with their parasite prevention, check your pets daily for ticks and if you do find one contact your nearest vet.
