🌞🌦️☁️weather update - Saturday 30th Nov.
unfortunately, due to an extremely large amount of rain last night and more forecast for the whole day, we will have to cancel our Saturday, 30/11 Lessons, Sessions & Mighty Mini’s Program. We will contact all families over the next few days to discuss possible make-up times for lessons and alternative days/dates for the ‘Mighty Mini’s’ Program and Equine Therapies Sessions.
Stay warm, dry and safe in this weather. A perfect movie day for the family. 😊🐴🦄

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and adults through the healing power of horses? We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Equine-Assisted Therapy Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Balance Equine Therapies in Falls Creek, NSW! 🐴

What You'll Do: ✨ Provide equine-assisted therapy to individuals and groups, addressing physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges. ✨ Work closely with children and adults, using tailored therapeutic activities to help them grow and achieve their goals. ✨ Track participant progress and maintain confidential records. ✨ Conduct assessments to develop personalised therapy plans. ✨ Ensure safety protocols are followed for both participants and horses.

What We’re Looking For: ✅ Diploma/Bachelor’s/Master’s in counselling, psychology, social work, or related field. ✅ Registered with ACA, PACFA, AHPRA, or a relevant association. ✅ Experience or certification in equine-assisted therapy or hippotherapy. ✅ Ability to connect with children and adults with disabilities. ✅ Excellent counselling and communication skills.

Perks: 💼 Pay: $48.00 – $58.00 per hour ⏰ Flexible hours: Afternoon and weekend shifts available 🏞️ Stunning location in Falls Creek, NSW

📣 Meet Kohia Schofield! 🌟

We are thrilled to introduce Kohia, our dedicated Therapeutic Equine Interactions Facilitator, who has been with us since February. Kohia brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our team, with a background in Psychology and Animal Science from Charles Sturt University and specialized training from the Equine Psychotherapy Institute of Australia.

Kohia's approach is strengths-based and person-centred, focusing on the healing nature of the therapeutic relationship between horse, client, and practitioner. Her experience in Out Of Home Care and working with NDIS clients has been invaluable in providing tailored therapeutic interventions.

What she loves most about working with horses is their ability to see and accept your authentic self, creating a deeply healing experience.

Good morning, unfortunately, with all the rain we've had overnight the grounds are looking more like swimming pools than paddocks 🏊‍♂️, and it is forecast to continue raining quite heavily throughout the day. All lessons and sessions for today will unfortunately have to be canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date (when grounds dry out).
Hoping that you stay warm and dry today and that sunshine is on its way in the next few days.

What an amazing day at Balance Equine Therapies. We have 2 very happy sisters that had amazing sessions with ‘Ash’ and ‘Krystal’. Mum says they are already talking about next weeks session. 🐴❤️😊
