And that’s a wrap for 2023.

A huge thank you to all my amazing clients for another fantastic year that was full of superb horses and wonderful people.

It was a bitter sweet day today as it was my last day of riding client horses for some time until after the arrival of our first baby due in April.

I have limited availabilities for day checks, holiday care and lunging from January 8th until I go on maternity leave in March. Please get in touch if you are interested.

My childhood dream was to be gifted a horse for my birthday.
Finally this year my dream has become a reality and for my 30th birthday I was given my dream pony 🥰

I’m pleased to finally introduce the 3 year old roan gelding Squiz registered as “Mystic Shadows Iluka”.

A huge thank you to Mitch and my dad for making my dream a reality and a big thank you to Mystic Shadows Friesian Sporthorses for breeding such a wonderful horse.
Looking forward to the future with this one 🤩

My books are currently closed for all riding clients (excluding existing arrangements) but I do have some spots available for holiday care, daily checks, rugging and feeding available from January 8th through to March.

Also I will be having a small break over the Christmas Period (22nd - 8th of January).

Any enquires during this time will be responded to after the 8th of January 😊

Considering in May this year my goal was to get Chaos out to his first competition in October he has absolutely blown me away with his progression. It really is a special journey breeding, starting and training the same horse.
Patience was absolute key in creating such a willing horse. He was started as a 4 year old and brought along very slowly to now be a very confident, calm and happy 6 year old.

Another 2 blue ribbons to add to his collection after todays competition at Ayr Hill Dressage 🏆

Coastal Equestrian Clubs Dressage day done and dusted ✅
Chaos was an absolute star today giving me not one but two very rideable test to give us 1st place in both test and overall jackpot winner 🏆 This is only his second official competition 😱

Chaos’ half brother is up for sale. Marlanoc is a genuine stud that put a lot of time in to producing exquisite well bred horses.

🥳🥳 1 year of Iluka Equine!! 🥳🥳

Today marks the one year anniversary of my little business starting.
What a year it has been! I have learnt more than I thought possible and I have met some truely amazing people and horses.

I wanted to say a very big thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way.
This includes my clients who have entrusted me to ride and care for their beautiful horses 🙏🏼
And my friends and family who I’ve had to sacrifice many social gatherings and important events to pursue my riding goals and competitions to progress my business. Thank you all for your understanding and support 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Looking forward to shaping my business structure over the coming months. Bring on the next twelve months 💪🏼

What a team effort today at Boneo Park!

Today we took Edge of Chaos and Classique Spin That CD down to the dressage at Boneo Park. I rode 4 test and came away with 3 placings, the horses were incredibly well behaved 💪🏼

I literally could not have done it without my support crew, thank you all so much for your help!!

With a heavy heart 💔 and exhausted bodies, we put this call out for help 🌟

Hastings PC has been running on the Peninsula for the past 49 years, at the Emu Plains Reserve (Balnarring Racecourse).
Like every club, we have had our fair share of ups and downs.

Currently we are facing some difficult decisions regarding the future of our club.
With our member numbers critically low, our small committee exhausted, we put forward the following options.
a) Inviting prospective members of all ages and abilities that are prepared to join the committee.
b) Inviting other not for profit horse orientated community groups to share this space whilst providing support for ongoing maintenance, as an example Adult riders groups, Saddle clubs, other Pony Clubs looking for secondary grounds’.
c) Inviting past members for any support that they can offer.
d) Prospective sponsorship.

We are very privileged to have access to this beautiful space. Grounds include a good sand arena, large xc grounds, extensive equipment, and the support of Balnarring Race club and Peninsula Pleasure harness.

It’s been a 7 year journey to this moment with Chaos and I couldn’t be more happy, he was an absolute super star and even managed a 3rd place but even better was his calm, happy and willing nature to do the best he could 💪🏼

“Dream work makes the team work”

➡️ When someone mentions that they ride horses other people don’t often associate that as being a team sport. Little do they know that it just about takes a village behind the scenes to get a horse and rider to progress.

I am super lucky to have such a brilliant team behind me who have helped me get to where I am today. There are literally too many of you to individually list!
