Fireworks can be incredibly stressful for dogs. Here's how to keep your pup calm and happy:

Secure your home: Double-check that all gates, fences, and doors are securely closed.

Create a safe haven: Provide a quiet and secure space for your dog, like a crate or a designated room. Include their favorite bed, toys, and treats.

Drown out the noise: Play calming music or white noise to help muffle the sounds of fireworks.

Minimize visual stimulation: Close windows and blinds to reduce the flashes and booms.

Ensure proper identification: Make sure your dog is wearing a collar with up-to-date ID tags in case they manage to escape.

🌥️ Cloudy skies and warm vibes couldn’t keep the WoofTastic crew from having a tail-waggin’ great time today!

First up, Alfie, Scout T and Boston were all paws in for some fun at Bede Spillane Gardens, joined by a lovely blonde Kelpie cross Dingo who kept them on their toes! These pups made the most of every inch of green and didn’t let the warm weather slow them down one bit. 🐾

Next, Axel, Georgie, Scout P and Duke took over Blackmore Oval for some epic games of chasies and zoomies! The cherry on top? A catch-up with our friends from then a lovely walk through Cafe Bones where everyone got to cool down and re-energize. 🐶💨

The afternoon adventure led us to the foreshore trail with Annabelle, Baxter, Charlie, Harper and Ziggy. For Baxter and Annabelle, it was their first time here, and wow 🤩 those noses were in overdrive! Every blade of grass was a mystery to solve, and they tackled it all with serious sniffin’ dedication. 🐕👃

To wrap up a pawsome day, Charlie, Milly, Oscar, Rocky and Boston had a lovely stroll, taking in the views and capping off the day with all the right vibes. 🥰

From start to finish, every single pup made the most of the day, with tails high and spirits higher. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s adventures with this amazing pack! 🌟

🐾 Welcome to the WoofTastic Crew, Baxter & Annabelle! 🐾

Today, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming this adorable brother-sister duo from Chiswick! Meet Baxter, the playful Bordoodle and his sister Annabelle, a bundle of Spoodle energy and sweetness. These two came ready to roll, already knowing all the tricks of the trade!

Our seasoned pros, Harper and Willow, jumped right in and showed them the ropes (not that they needed much help!) ❤️ they were naturals! It was nonstop play, paws on the go and tails wagging all the way, just the way we love it! 🐕💨

Baxter and Annabelle, you fit right in with our pack, and we can’t wait for you to meet the rest of the gang! 🐶✨

🐾 Oh, what a time the WoofTastic crew has been having out there in the sunshine! ☀️ With the warm weather in full swing, we’re back to shade-hopping and beachy escapades 👉🏼 perfect for splashing, romping, and cooling off in the waves! 🏖️

Just a quick reminder for our lovely humans: please keep extra water bowls out for the floofs, and if your pup isn’t up for a group adventure in the heat, feel free to cancel for their comfort! 🐶 On these hot days, a dip in the water is the highlight of our outings. Keeping grooming on a summer-friendly schedule 🙌🏼 shorter fur, means a quicker clean-up post beach fun! 🌊💦

Let’s keep those paws happy, healthy, and ready for all the summer adventures ahead! 🥰

Our amazing team of volunteers needs your help!
With so many dogs in our care, we go through training treats faster than ever. These treats are key to helping our volunteers train, socialise, and support our pups as they wait for their forever homes.

We’re looking for donations of liver, jerky-style treats, or small biscuit training treats – these are our dogs' favourites and essential for their daily enrichment.

🏴‍☠️ Ahoy, ye scurvy sea pups ‘n landlubbers alike! 🏴‍☠️

'Tis been a full turn o' the tides since our cheeky lass Willow joined the WoofTastic crew, and what a fine scallywag she's become! A true pirate pup, enjoyin' every bit o' the grand voyage 'round the sun! ☠️

We've braved wild storms, sailed through dangerous waters, an' found more buried bones than a treasure chest could hold. Some o' our old salty sea dogs may have retired to their kennels or found greener pastures, but fear not, mateys! The WoofTastic crew remains strong, mischievous, an' ready to plunder the high seas! 🐾

Our furry first mates have been “workin' hard” out there 🏴‍☠️ chasin' seagulls, diggin' for treasure, an' keepin' us on our toes while havin' the time o’ their lives!

🐾 Dogs: Social Creatures, Made to Play 🐾

Dogs are natural social beings. They thrive on interaction and companionship, especially with other dogs. Playing with furry friends not only provides mental and physical stimulation but also helps them develop important social skills like communication, cooperation, and conflict resolution.

At WoofTastic Care, we understand the importance of social interaction for dogs. That’s why we create a safe and welcoming environment where dogs can interact on their own terms. Some dogs love to walk together, while others prefer playtime. And for those who simply enjoy the company of other dogs from afar, we provide ample space for them to observe without feeling overwhelmed. Hence the importance of flexibility from our clients as it allows us to place each pup in a group that is most suitable to them.

In this photo, we see three beautiful furry friends enjoying a lively game of chase at the beach. Their tails wagging and their eyes sparkling with joy, it’s clear that they’re having a blast. Moments like these are what make our hearts melt and remind us why we do what we do at WoofTastic Care.

Paws for Support: Help Angie Get Back on Her Feet!

Our incredible friend Angie, a superhero dog walker with a heart of gold, needs our help!

Last Tuesday, while out caring for her furry friends, Angie was involved in a nasty car accident. Thankfully, the pups are safe, but Angie suffered a broken sternum and her van is totaled.

Angie is the kindest soul you'll ever meet. She dedicates countless hours to rescuing and rehoming cats all across Sydney. Now, the one who always puts others first needs a helping paw!

Recovery will be a challenge, both physically and financially. Let’s help Angie so she can get back to walking her furry clients and continue her amazing work!

Every bit counts, no matter how small! Let's shower Angie with the love and support she deserves!
