Thrilled with the performance of our 3yo filly Empire of Pain (Justify), who claimed her maiden win in style at just her second start, dominating by 4.3 lengths! She’s the first foal out of our beautiful mare Foxpack, who also has a promising Street Boss yearling c**t heading to the Magic Millions and a stunning Toronado c**t at foot.

A huge thank you to Grahame Begg for his expert training and to the in-form Jo Bowditch for a great ride. Excited to see what’s next for this talented filly!

Meet Rob Carlile – Farm Manager at Two Bays Farm 🐎

Rob Carlile has been our dedicated farm manager for over 10 years, and the photo above perfectly captures his love for horses and his positive nature.

Rob’s journey in the industry began at just 14, when he took on summer work experience at Fulmen Park, prepping yearlings in exchange for a pair of boots. During this time, he formed a special bond with a Danzero filly who later topped the Magic Millions Yearling Sales, giving him an unforgettable buzz.

Mentored by Lee Powell and Steve Lalor, Rob spent the next four summers at Fulmen Park, deepening his passion for horses year after year.
His career took off when he joined Darley, spending four years overseeing and caring for some of the world’s top stallions, including Street Cry, Dubawi, Shamardal, and Exceed and Excel.

Returning to Victoria, Rob spent four years at Three Bridges, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of farm management. This broad exposure equipped him with a wide range of skills and the confidence to expand his horizons internationally which led to an exciting job with the very progressive Tweenhills Farm in the UK.

“I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible horses and people,” Rob says.

His dam First Channel is the half-sister and paddock mate of ALCATRAZ who is the dam of KUBRICK (star 2yo) and BUNDLE OF FUN (Tas Oaks winner).

His sire DIRTY WORK is a rising son of Written Tycoon who won the Schillaci Stakes Gr2.

Rubick x Excelsior Island 24’ filly

A filly with an early speed pedigree. She is by the sire that produced JACQUINOT, YES YES YES, RUBISAKI and her dam is related to the 2011/12 NZ Champion 2yo - WAR HORSE.

Her half-sister by Street Boss was a lovely type making $140k at the weanling sales this year and there is a 2yo half-sister by Blue Point with Henry Dwyer called Mariner Miss.

The Foxpack/Toronado 24’ c**t foal.

This is a cracking c**t with a beautiful head.
Foxpack won 4 races and she is a full sister to KENTUCKY MISS. She is a beautiful mare who made $475k as a yearling.

Foxpack has a 3-year-old Justify filly in training with Mick Price and her 2nd foal was an impressive Street Boss c**t who made $230k at the Great Southern sales.
