I’ve just spent 4 days lapping up the learning in the Southern Highlands of NSW, with elite trainer Eva Bertillson all the way from Sweden. Two days of chicken camp and two days of dog training in cooperative care. Professional development comes in many forms. Here’s a great vid showing some of the chicken camp from the event. Big focus on calm handling and consent from the animals. The goal is not the end behaviour, the goal is having an animal who is feeling safe and happy to participate. 💖👏

So proud of Maggie moo! First time trying the paddle board in the real world and she did swimmingly! In the background we’ve had many many sessions of high value reinforcement at home for standing on the paddle board, platform training, standing on the boogie board or a kayak, all on the safety of land. Today’s session was fuelled by burgers and ham. Maggie approves! #paddledogs #paddleboarddog #positivereinforcementworks
