Training is all about adapting to what the learner gives you. When Pud-Pud (kitty) saw that Gelato (labradoodle) was having some fun food games, she wanted to be part of the action. Two very engaged and adorable learners here enjoying a nose touch on the target stick. Who said life is all work and no play?

Feeding time with a lunatic. A big chunk of my career has been with Labradors aka hungry hippos never been fed. This girl never ceases to amaze me with her total disinterest in meal time.

I’ve just spent 4 days lapping up the learning in the Southern Highlands of NSW, with elite trainer Eva Bertillson all the way from Sweden. Two days of chicken camp and two days of dog training in cooperative care. Professional development comes in many forms. Here’s a great vid showing some of the chicken camp from the event. Big focus on calm handling and consent from the animals. The goal is not the end behaviour, the goal is having an animal who is feeling safe and happy to participate. 💖👏
