I have had a bit of a break from hatching due to the hot weather.
And will be hatching more chicks in late Jan/early feb 2025.
(I might have some secret new breeds by then!)

Mine:
1 month. They are getting braver and starting to explore. (Although I do love when they start laying eggs!).

How do you deal with your young roosters attacking you?

Tips:
Stomp your foot if they charge you.
NEVER kick at them, you challenging them to fight.
Talk to them.
Don’t shout at them.
Never back away, they think that they are winning.
Stand your ground.

What is your single best and worst thing about owning chickens?
Mine:
Best = raising cute, fluffy, yellow,adorable chicks to love and to watch them explore there new world…..

Worst = digging up your garden…
