A bit of a delayed catch up, but typing isn’t the easiest thing with a broken wrist. 😂
Lots is still happening here in the mist and a big thank you to the girls for keeping all the horses ticking over under guidance . ( unfortunately I can still yell) 😂🫶.
Hurricane headed home for a short four week break. Betty will return mid year as a 3yr for 4 weeks under saddle 😃

🌟Jimmy will continue his prep work through the Christmas period .
🌟 Twiggy is in week five and continuing to go from strength to strength . 💪
🌟 Checkers, is living his best life coming back into work steadily into his sales preparation. Such a fun Pony to have around with a fabulous Owner , who is putting in the time to have him long-term prepared. 🏡
The beautiful gypsy cob 🌟Opal is eight weeks into her starting. she’s another lovely one, we have enjoyed starting under saddle and preparing to find her forever home.
We have a new kid on the Block 🌟Jack a 2 ⭐️ eventer, who’s been dressage focused for the past 12 months.
Alongside my beautiful storm who is coming along so beautifully, and I couldn’t be more impressed with his ability to handle all these new Tasks. We have a couple of our competition horses spelling, tbs spelling and coming into work, whilst preparing for our to almost to 2yr boy babies to come home.
2025 is set to be a even better and bigger year💜

I was pretty proud of the patchy pony, for backing up his dressage from last weekend, siting 9th in a bigger class, alongside a much harder field .
Showjumping definitely wasn’t our finest moment, we decorated the ground with pretty poles 🥲. Just getting in to deep and flicking the top rail, I walked away shaking my head. Xc was clear, All new experiences and expectations for this fella .

Camperdown show. Showjumping
Warrnambool show 2 days . Showjumping
Colac show. Showjumping
Ballarat international 2 day event.

He has put in a huge season. %90 of the time giving us all.
The big man will now have a 7 week well deserved spell on the hills .

A very special pony . 🫶
Harris places Ted Talk, ( Teddy🧸 ). Had his first official HT start at Ballarat international event .
We were siting on a nice 8th on %72.8 after dressage. One bull dozer rail in sj, due to some failed communication between us, a green CLEAR but truely trying and giving great feels xc.
Leaving us 5th overall.🏅

I came in expecting nothing, and just hoping we had put in enough hard yards at home, with training our xc . Prior to this week ( we hated ditch’s, drops, and weren’t to keen on water) today, Teddy just gave his all, ALL weekend.
Couldn’t be more proud.
A huge thanks to Ebony Porter, who traveled a 3hr round trip, to coach us at home this week. Couldn’t of done it without your guidance. 💕

Hurricanes starting process .
Today marks the end of week 4. What a big and full 4 weeks it has been with this guy.
Hurricane is probably My second most challenging starter to date. He has tried so hard, but had/ has a threshold, that has had to be read quickly to support him and continuously worked within, to keep him happy, calm, and on the job.
What a special and rewarding experience .
Excited for how the next few weeks will unfold! 🥰

Well I definitely feel I have some catching up to do, re posts.
I’d like to introduce ~ HPPH Storm.
Riverside X Miss stress xx .
This pretty cool fella, is having a late start to life. As a unstarted 10yr. Up until yesterday, he’d been handled and had some light ground work. With the amazing Ebony Porter, but apart from, had been a happy paddock pony.
We arrived home at 7:30pm last night, by 7:30am this morning, we had our first sit, first bath, first roller, first rug, and what is this werid thing on my face ? 🤣.
Think storm enjoys the pampered life.
We proudly own Storm and are so excited for his future!

We are blessed to work with all the horses that come through our gates. Both big, small and tiny. We are here for your journey.
This is little Penny who was here with us for 5 weeks, Penny was sold as “ child safe / true beginners mount. We quickly found out, that whilst Penny may have done many “ pony rides” she certainly hadn’t been properly started under saddle.
Fast forward 9 weeks later. & here’s Penny and her super little human, cleaning up at the noorat show. 😍

Hurricane the warlander.
Saddle on for the first time . 💪
This horse is a prime example of a horse who needs a multitude of time and trust in every step. Some horses you’ll see us having a little sit on at the end of week 1. Others have no limit, this is the week 3 for Hurricane, only today, did I start putting weight over him, in the stirup, lifting myself up and down, and climbing all over him. Literally - those who know me know I’m very very short 🤣 and I had to climb my way up .
Baby steps for long term success .

Hi all!
As we get closer to ending 2024, we will be SLIGHTLY be increasing all prices on services .
Throughout 4 years of servicing, Geelong, surrounds, everywhere inbetween, and some interstate clients, we have only ever increased our prices $50 over a 4 year period. We have tried to keep food on our tables, but also make sure we haven’t taken from yours.
This year our hay prices have increased over %50, our business has taken the load of that. But coming into 2025, we can’t continue this way.
We either increase or we leave . That’s where we are at .
So 2025 -
Training - $375 + GST
Starting under saddle - $395 + GST
Sales Campaining - $380 + GST
pre training - $420 + GST .
Return client rates and reduced programs are still available - . We wouldn’t be here without every client who has supported us, we will always give back to you. 💛

Whilst Harris Place Retraining and performance Horses have been keeping everyone in the loop with the training and competition side of things, Woodglen has been busy foaling down.

We will be popping up individual posts for the foals. But just to fill you in, we have 4 foals on the ground at this time with some more due around Christmas (not sure who thought Christmas time is a good time to foal down🤦🏻‍♀️)

Foals are such time wasters, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Boy has and is the most incredible ride of my life, but also the most challenging in many ways, we have worked so hard, overcome so many challenges and given everything to each other . I’ll continue to work harder every day, to become the best pilot I can for this youngster and every other, who comes through our gates.

Lovely fudge has found the most perfect human and home, prior to even getting a proper introduction or ad .
It was no surprise when we had a long time client reach out with there interest, that it was the perfect fit on both ends .
Fudge will head home this weekend, we will then see him next weekend at noorat show with his new rider and one of our favourite people. 😍🐴

Hurricane 🌀, this fella is taking to his program so well, he definitely can be a little stand offish, but generally is aiming to please and understand each question being asked.
A slow process with lots of positive experiences. . Second time roller on, which we didn’t think was quite as scary this time, alongside of just working in tune with this big guy And getting him to soften to me and relax . Today was a great session and that relaxation was evident .
Go big guy! 💪

FUN, SAFE & RELIABLE.
This dude ticks a lot of boxes for me.
He has be a pleasure to have around and in work with us.
Buddy has some competition experience, CT & HT where his proven to pull very nice scores in his dressage. (no surprise with his standout movement) He is very honest and willing through other phases.
Buddy has hacked down the road, ridden around the farm, visited the cows, done arena work and jumped up to 90cm here with us, all with ease.
He has an easy can do attitude and is always aiming to please.
Buddy is not hot or forward, but not lazy either and likes to work in pace with his rider. Not the bravest XC yet but tries hard and will continue to improve with more training.
He is easy to do everything with, a true all rounder.
Clipped and up to date with teeth and feet.
Has a small bump on his front leg which vets advised was just cosmetic. Has small swelling to his off side eye which we have seen reduce with turmeric treatment. Does not affect his performance.

Would suit intermediate pony clubber, ARC, Trails, pleasure, dressage and abit over everything in between.
Would also suit a mother / daughter share.
