Happy New Year, Puparazzi Pack

I hope you all had a great Christmas and are enjoying the new year.

I have had to do some hard thinking and with heavy heart, unfortunately it is time for me to close Puparazzi Parlour after 5 amazing years.

There are a number of factors that have led to this decision. Running a full-time business and being a full-time mum was tough in 2024 and cost of living has also made in impact, not to mention ALOT of burn out, which has made it increasingly hard to keep a business running.

Our girls are getting older, and the juggling has become even more challenging. I am not able to give the business the time and energy that I would want to be able to.

I am really sad to be saying goodbye; however, I will be continuing dog grooming at Bellarine Vet Newcomb.
My 1st day there will be 29th of January.
I will be working part time, and due to 2025 kinder hours, I will only be working 4 hours on mon, tue, wed & thurs.

ALL APPOINTMENTS NOW TILL JAN 28TH WILL REMAIN AS IS AND WILL BE GROOMED OUT OF MY HOME SALON
*MY LAST DAY AT HOME WILL BE THE 28TH*
Everything will remain the same while I work from home. Reminders will be sent out every Sunday each week as per usual.

I have been told clients can follow me over but unfortunately due to the minimal hours I will be doing, its unlikely that I will groom your dog (i will be working with another full time groomer and a bather).
The clinic also does not have a lot of room for larger breed dogs and do not offer comb cut clips due to having a large amount of regular clientele already in the system.

With saying all of this, it's most likely i will not be able to achieve to groom most of my clientele. Which breaks my heart knowing all the relationships and loyalty i have with so many of you.
I highly recommend contacting the girls/owner Kate at Clippd (49 winstanley road) they are my #1 recommendation or to find someone that works with your schedule and availability on my page called Find a Dog Groomer geelong.

Thank you for all your support the last 5 years, to have been able to raise our 2 girls and do what I love was just amazing.
It's now time to step back and enjoy the small things in life.

Over the past few weeks, I have unfortunately had to make a few reschedules due to the beautiful heat!

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the warm weather, but it's not something I can work in.
Or something I feel comfortable grooming dogs in as I do have quite a few oldies and large breeds.

As you all know, I work out of my cute little shed and because I wanted to keep the cute tin roof and wood beams, i have not got the insulation that I need to keep the heat out.

I have also made the decision not to get an aircon installed this year (due to major cost)

With this all said, I want to post a pre-warning about possible cancellations or rebooking.

As it's the crazy busy time of the year and currently working 5-6 days a week, i don't have the capacity to be able to rebook a lot of dogs.

I can find recommendations as well if you choose to find somewhere else that suits your schedule.

Temperature wise, i would have to say any temperature over 26°-27° may need to be cancelled or moved if i have the space, and that is also all depending on other weather factors (rain or early cool changes)

Most early appointments will be able to go ahead it's more any apps after 11:30-12 that may need to be moved.

I will be adding to all reminder msgs a reminder about hot weather changes.

I will look into some fans and other things, but as you can imagine fans and hair don't really mix that well lol

With school drop-off and pick up being my main thing, I also have very limited times available unless I can work out a few days that my partner can help but he also has a very busy schedule as well.

The new home salon... A few setbacks, but we are set up finally!!!! 💩 Poo bags available for any number 2's out the front. Please make sure to clean them up we have a poo bin in the salon. ⚠️Dogs MUST be on a lead on entry! This is our home and a place my children play and don't want any dogs marking in our outdoor area (cause that's gross) 🔔 Ring the doorbell if the gate is locked and someone will come and open it up for you. 🚗 If the driveway is free, please feel free to park up there on drop off or pick up. 🧊 I don't have air-conditioning installed as yet so any really hot days may be cancelled

Everyone knows I love a BIG BOOF HEAD!!! Look at Alfie He is only a young pup still, and he knows the drill. I don't have to pick him up or lead him onto or into anything at the salon.... he just does what her has to do and loves it. (Maybe not drying his tootsies), but we will get there. And c'mon look at that bloody face he is handsome as ever!! Love my big oodles 🫶🩷

✨️HERE IS THE FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT✨️ Sadly, my lease at winstanley Road is up at the end of the month it was a painful and very hard decision to make, but with all the family changes this year and continuing rising costs, this was the right call. We are currently setting up a little home salon. 🪴I'm going to call the jungle groom (room)🪴 All appointments from now till the 28th-29th of Feb will continue to be at winstanley Salon. All clients booked from march onwards will be notified with the new address before your booking. The new home salon will be located in St. Albans Park 3219. (Only 5 min drive from current salon) We will keep you all updated on the salon as it comes along. We hope you all understand and are willing to follow us over. If not, we completely understand. What's going to happen to winstanley Salon....? Starting mid-end march Kate from @clippdcaninestyling will be taking over the lease and working her magic there. This will be her 2nd location as she currently works out of Clifton Springs. Kate is willing to take on some small clients if on a regular schedule and well behaved (if you want to stay at that location) She is an amazing groomer. Check out her page to look at the fantastic grooms!!! Also feel free to msg her for any questions or queries, but do allow some time as she will be a busy bee working and setting up the salon.
