Taking EOI for Lovely Banks Lavender 43.75% Pygmy & her gorgeous little doeling 67.18% at foot. I would LOVE if they were able to go to the same home. So at this stage looking for anyone that would be interested in taking them both.

Lavender was bottle fed so is extremely loving and always seeks me out for a cuddle. She has kidded with ease 2 years in a row with a total of 4 doelings. The only reason I am selling her is that I now have 3 doelings that I have kept from her.

These two would be perfect to anyone wanting to add some fun colours into their herd. 🥰

Some may call me crazy but I have decided to bottle feed 2 of this years doelings.

Reason being I am wanting to show a couple next year so wanting some extra friendly does for this. 🙏

I didn’t want to leave any does without kids, so I wasn’t able to take Torvi or Toves kids. So have taken one of Little Miss Gruffs & one of Lavenders.

For an extra challenge I am also milking Lavender who has heaps of milk and feeding them that. 🥰

All mummas & kids are doing really well. 💗

All the pens have been opened except for Torvi as her little one is so teeny tiny and needs heat.

Little Miss Gruff is doing a fabulous job with her triplets. 👏

Our tally ended up being 6 does & 1 buck, our best doe to buck ratio everrrrrr! 😍

Twin does for torvi. Unfortunately one of the does presented with just the head out and all legs pushed behind, it was extremely hard to get this kid out and I am very thankful to my husband for helping. It passed away shortly after. 😔 I went in and checked if there was anymore and I couldn’t feel anything…

30 mins later Torvi gave birth to this tiny dark agouti doe with spots. She is easily half the size of her sister that sadly passed and is the smallest born for the season. She has had a feed and is quite strong on her feet.

Very thankful that my beautiful Torvi is okay. 💗

A few of the kids have been favouring one side of the udder. To fix this I milk out the side that is full for the first couple days and usually by day 3 or 4 the kids are a bit more boisterous and less fussy about which side to drink from. I have never had to tape one side of the udder before but you can also do this to get the kids to stop favouring one side.

This milk stash will get stored in the freezer for any emergencies that may arise.

What a fabulous weekend that was had. 🥳 Some fabulous Pygmy goat judges came down from America to offer their expertise to NPGAA. I learnt so much from their visit & feel very grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from them.

Thank you Carol Hepner and Kelly Culp for a great weekend and to Paul and Carolyn for hosting this awesome event.
