Well, the cat show year is officially “over” for 2024.

Each year I keep a couple of kittens to show. Have to say, we had a pretty good year, with our two kittens, both bagging Best of Breed Awards at the National Cat Show in Adelaide in July, being the highlight of the year.

Last night our Tessie finally graced us with two little babies. The gestation period for a cat is normally 63 to 65 days. Our Tessie went well beyond that. Wanting to make sure that everything was okay, I took Tess to the vet yesterday afternoon for an ultrasound. Fortunately, all was well with her two babies and they both had strong heartbeats. Tessie must have got the message because at 7 o’clock last night, I took her dinner into her. She was calm and no sign of being in labour. Two hours later, I went to check on her and she had two warm clean little babies. Please enjoy the video of a wide eyed Tessie and her new babies! 🐾❤️😻

6 week old Ragdoll kittens - when you try to video them! I’d call this a F for FAIL … one yawning … one lazily licking itself … one packing up to go … not to mention the sister who who gives the one leaving a push …. but at least they are gorgeous! 😻😂😻😂😻😂😜

BABY WATCH IS OVER!! ALEX AND MIDDIE BABIES LOOK AT THE FACE OF LOVE 😻 At 9.30 tonight Middie presented her first baby … about 5 minutes later the next baby arrived … followed in 15 minute intervals with the next three babies. It was all happening so fast that she barely had time to clean the babies properly. I gave each of them a rub with a warm wet washer, and kept them warm on a hot water bottle until she’d finished birthing. Once she’d finished she gave each baby a thorough bath .. just in case the “human” missed a bit 😂😂😂 We have 3 boys and two girls, and fingers crossed they’ll all be strong healthy babies! Turn up the sound on the video to hear the purring and see the look of love! One proud mumma puss 😻❤️😻 Congratulations Middie and Alex!
