🍯 Wound Wax 🍯

Flies and wounds - not a good match! 🪰❌

Wounds, cuts and scabs are often a magnet for flies because they are attracted to the exudates. While a cut may not look like much, fly exposure can often make it worse, causing irritation and removing scabs, which in turn can prolong the healing process.

Keeping flies off scabs and wounds is vital for the healing process ❤️‍🩹

🍯 Applying a salve like Wound Wax makes an ideal barrier as it fills, packs and covers the area to prevent flies from coming in contact with the wound.

🩹 No need to bandage if the area doesn’t require it.

🐝 The combination of beeswax, coconut oil and honey in Wound Wax helps it to adhere without the sticky mess of honey on its own.

🪻Wound Wax is scented with Lavender which has been used as a natural bug repellent for hundreds of years and may help to deter flies.

We have Wound Wax available in 50g, 100g, 250g or 1L to suit your needs!

The dreaded itched-out tail😱 3 weeks out from a show a customer sent us this photo asking for help! She currently uses Wound Wax for cuts, but wondered if it would help her horse's itchy problem. The short answer? YES!

Tail scratching can be a sign of dry, itchy skin which is common during hot and dry weather, which we've been experiencing a lot of recently. Unfortunately, once they start rubbing it, the area only becomes drier and itchier, especially when the hair comes out and the skin is exposed.

She's since started applying Wound Wax to the area morning and night. "Thanks for the advice recently team, the Wound Wax has made a huge difference in 2 weeks already, he's stopped rubbing so excessively, it's less flaky and the hair is starting to grow back. Hopefully by next Sunday we'll be ready to go!"

How can Wound Wax help?
🐝 Adding moisture back into the area is the first step to reducing the itchiness and restoring the skin barrier to promote hair re-growth.
🐝Wound Wax helps to seal in the moisture and avoid further drying out in the area
🐝The honey in our formula may help to soothe the itchiness and inflammation
🐝The beeswax in our formula helps Wound Wax to grip to the area so it doesn't get rubbed off straight away.
