Venus Equestrian & Horse Agistment Venus Equestrian is a private property in Gisborne, offering premium agistment for dressage performance horses and recreational riders.

Facilities include indoor arena, warm wash bay, large stables with yards and grassy paddocks for 24hr access. Venus Equestrian is owned and run by Deborah Carr and Fiona McDonald-Crowley, who are a couple of experienced dressage riders, having trained and competed 6 of their own horses from young horse to FEI level dressage, including Grand Prix.

We have individual, large, open stables with , soft rubber flooring, that go out onto a yard and paddock. All within a horse friendly stable block. Under cover, hot cold wash, covered, full size arena with mirrors and Bounce Rubber surface. Very welcoming, friendly environment, mainly AOR dressage and eventing residents, with FEI level accomplished dressage coaches on site or BYO. DIY starting at $135/week, Full service $260 + feed, and a variety of options in between. EOI welcome DM or ph 0411519004

So proud of our sassy little mare Total Secrecy (Secret/Zonic/Fiderstern), beeezing through her Hanovarian mare Classification this week. 9 for walk, 8 for everything else - she is a superstar and she also has the temperament to die for.
Thanks so much to David Shoobridge for allowing us to join the classifications at his beautiful property, Salisbury Dressage in Lancefield and huge congratulations for his outstanding stallion Vittorio III gaining his Gold level licence with lots of 9’s! - as well as a couple of stunning gold classified foals - such amazing horses being bred and trained there.
Thanks also to Michelle Williams from Total Equine Genetics for breeding our little Secret gem ❤️

Venus Equestrian in Gisborne is looking for an experienced horse stable hand/groom to do 5x 3hr afternoon shifts a week from 19 June to 17 July. Potential for 2-3 regular, ongoing shifts before and after these dates if interested. Location Gisborne. What a fun day some of our residents had at Western Victoria Dressage Championships yesterday. It was a hot day but really friendly and well run by WVDC at Elcho Park. Deb and Total Secrecy (sweetest 4yo ever ❤️) brought home the most amazingly beautiful rug for their win of Prelim champion and Tracy with Gem and Fi with Amico both reserve Champs in elementary and Medium respectively 🥰

We have an agistment spot coming up. One of our lovely agisters has decided to become a neighbour so we have an opening for one more. All agistment paddocks are the same set up. We have large stables with soft rubber flooring that open on to small yards with geohex mats which open on to grassed paddocks with safe, electrified horse rail fencing. Open indoor arena with mirrors, hot cold wash bay, shared tack room, float parking, friendly environment, etc. We charge $135/week for DIY (requires daily feeds and yard cleaning, etc) or $260/week plus feed for full service or a variety of options in between if you need some services. Most agisters are mainly dressage riders, eventers and pleasure riders. If this sound like what you’re looking for, give me a pm or call 0411519004

We are looking for a stable hand to do casual work on the weekends. A regular Saturday afternoon shift 4.30-6.30pm plus more shifts when we are away. Feeding, rugging, cleaning yards for approx 12 horses in stable blocks. Need to be experienced with horses and confident with large Warmbloods. Nice friendly environment 😊

Hi All,
We are looking for a weekend Stable Hand at Venus Equestrian & Horse Agistment in Gisborne (Riddells Creek side). Duties include feeding, rugging and cleaning night yards for approx 10 horses. Mainly dressage warmbloods so experience with, and confidence around big horses is important. Saturday and Sunday mornings approx 2 hours each, plus additional shifts are an option from time to time when we are away.

We are a small, friendly venue would be happy to build in indoor arena use, agistment or dressage lessons if that appeals.
