Oh Lordy …. How cute is this little fella ?
Came into our stables yesterday with a bit of a sore mouth.
All fixed now and I have no doubt back to causing chaos today.
He was very cuddly and super well mannered

Terrific news

Veterinarians are now recognised alongside other health professionals in the ANZSCO (now known as OSCA) classification system! 🥳

The updated classification is a win for the profession as it better reflects the skills, responsibilities, and value veterinarians bring to society and is expected to improve data, modelling, and support future access to government funding and policy decisions.

This is the adorable Nash …
Nash is blurry… not to hide his identity … but he knew he was going home … and he was out of here quicker than a Cheetah on red cordial !!!

This little legend came in today for a scale and polish dental . At 13 yrs of age, we have to say his pearly whites were in great nik !

Annual dentals are so important to help reduce dental related issues

Nash is now ready to give Santa a heap of fresh breath kisses !
Good on you Nash - we thoroughly enjoyed the cuddles

We are blessed to offer and receive training to a variety of services both local and overseas!

Skye has been with the clinic for some time now and some of our clients may have seen her accompany our vets out in the field.
Skye works with us to not only help but also to assist with her PhD thorough Melbourne Uni. She has achieved some amazing accreditations including: DipACM, BVN, BAgrSc(Hons), PhD Candidate(VetSci) and the added bonus, is a super lovely person to have on the team.

Skye recently travelled to Indonesia as part of Melbourne University with Dr. Charlie El Hage. Melbourne University, through Charlie (and other acadmeics), has established a strong relationship with the local community on Gili Trawangan, leading to an annual visit for geldings and horse clinics.
These clinics focus on treating the local cart horses, which are an essential part of their livelihood. Veterinary students from Lombok Island also joined us for learning opportunities, so teaching was a key component—covering how to perform TPRs, conduct basic consultations with the locals, and identify underlying issues, such as wounds caused by the gear used. Farrier work was also part of the trip.
What an amazing experience

I can only imagine what skills Skye not only taught but also picked up.

To say this one is relaxed is an understatement.

How to collect a stool sample from your horse for a feacal egg count :

1. Pick up a free jar from the clinic ( or a pharmacy if near by but note, they may charge)
2. Pop on gloves
3. Wait for fresh poo sample ( must be fresh)
4. Select a pinch from a few different feacal balls ( not whole balls)
5. Only collect enough for jar size. We do not need the whole p**p
6. Write your name , and animals name on the jar and date it was collected
7. If not bringing it straight into the clinic, please place the jar in the fridge
8. Drop it into the clinic

Before and After dental pics

This patient has terrific teeth.
Annual visits to have them cleaned is why.
This type of preventative treatment is the best way to avoid major plaque and tartar buildup on your pets teeth.

When buildup forms on the teeth, this can result in serious periodontal disease, cavities, and extractions….. not to mention smelly breath .

This is why vets recommend regular scale and polish ( annually)
Unlike humans, dogs don’t brush and floss their teeth regularly, so it’s important that we help maintain a good level of dental health
