One year ago today, I took a risk to open my little home salon Pixie Paws. After owning and operating a couple of large salons over the last 15 years, I was a bit unsure how it would go working from home.

To say that I am overwhelmed with the support and kindness shown to me by my local (and some not so local) community, would be an understatement.

I am now currently booked out 4 months in advance, and have had to temporarily close my books to new clients.

I have met many wonderful people and their dogs over this past year, and made lots of friends. It has been wonderful, and I am incredibly grateful to each and every one of you for your support, and trusting me with your beautiful dogs.

Sometimes it is necessary to think creatively when working with reactive dogs. Harley is not particularly fond of the grooming process, so a licky mat with a bit of dog-safe peanut butter works wonderfully. We are now able to get him fully clipped and scissored without the need for a muzzle, and he now thoroughly enjoys his spa day. Well done, Harley, you are a champion!
