Fireworks tonight at Boyne Tannum Hookup

✨ The Boyne Tannum HookUp will be lighting up the sky tonight so make sure your pets are ready for some extra lights and noise.

The loud noise and bright lights of fireworks can scare pets causing to run away, inuring themselves in the process. Here are some simple tips to keep your pets safe.

🦴 A tired pup isn't an anxious pup. Exhaust your pet before a fireworks show by taking them for a walk and filling them up with a good meal
🦴 Pets can become anxious when they see their humans acting strangely. Go about your normal activities so show your pup there's nothing to worry about.
🦴 Bring them inside and remove their collar. Panicking dogs can choke themselves on their collars or leads. Don't forget to check that doors (both doggy and human) are closed.
🦴 Give them a safe space. Prep a cosy covered area, like a box with their favourite blanket, to give your pet a hideaway to wait out the show.

⚠️ A crocodile sighting has been reported to Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services at Canoe Point, Tannum Sands near the Dog off-leash area.

The community is advised to be CrocWise and stay away from the water’s edge. Signs have been placed in the area and the warnings will remain for at least seven days.
