A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Shirley Heights EA Dressage Event in The Little Yarra Valley yesterday! It was our first official Dressage day in over 20 years, and it couldn’t have run more smoothly.

Special thanks to our fantastic team of Judges, Pencillers, and Stewards, as well as Lara from Event Secretary, Bang on Barista, and Anita Prowse for all your help. And of course, our wonderful competitors for helping keep the grounds in such great shape!

So it was off the sand and onto the grass for a little Dookie Show Time! Great excuse to take out Miss Evie and give the Shirley Heights Rowville (Miss Rowville) a maiden test run. Both horse and float were absolute superstars and we had such a fun day. The Rowville tows like a dream - checked on Evie part way through the trip and I swear she was asleep!
The NRG Team - Thanks for keeping Evie well hydrated with her favourite milkshake (NRG Stockgain) and keeping her locks in perfect place with NRG Proplaits! Thank you Tracie Montebello & Soph Wall for being my copilots, cheer squad and super strappers. Where to next? 🥂🐎

Exciting news! I’m thrilled to announce that Rowville Horse Floats & Trailers has come on board as a sponsor for both myself as a rider and Shirley Heights Equestrian Centre!

🌟 THRILLED BEYOND WORDS! 🌟

It has been almost 3 weeks now and what an amazing weekend we had at our 2024 Shirley Heights National Horse Trials 3*. It was even better than Mum, Dad, Michael, Sandy and I could have ever imagined! Seeing so many smiling faces and receiving continuous calls and messages of congratulations and appreciation has been overwhelming. We are truly touched by all the love and support!

Your recognition of how much we, as a family, put into ensuring the safety and enjoyment of both riders and horses—whether you’re competing for the first time or in the advanced levels—means the world to us. Your kind words remind us why we do what we do, and it’s awesome to host such a fabulous event!

A big shoutout to our awesome SHHT Committee!! Such a great team and love that we all get along so well! We sure missed you this year Melissa and look forward to having you back on board in 2025! We were so thrilled to welcome Leah and Kim this year, and we hope you’ll both stay with us for next year’s event! And a special thank you to Jarryd—not only for designing the fab new course but for your continued support throughout the months leading up and the entire weekend. To Rachel (stepping in for Anthea last minute) and all of our amazing volunteers—what can we say but thank you! We, along with the competitors, are so grateful for everything you’ve done.

A special thanks to Judy Croagh for always going over and beyond to help us, our TD’s, Officials, Judges, Stewards, Lyn and Neil, Event Secretary, Clint Rose for your amazing commentary—you did a super job! My earliest memories include Johnny Patterson, who broke in and trained my grandfather Stanley Peacock's thoroughbreds. I cherish memories of going to Flemington with my grandparents and mum, arriving at Johnny's stables walking behind he and the horses to the Flemington track straight out amongst the peak hour traffic! Last year, we spent time with Johnny, sharing stories over tea & cake. He will be deeply missed by so many. Sending love to Glenys and family. With love, Kylie, Denise, and Fred.
