I’m sure I’m not the only one looking like this in these ridiculous winds!!
If you’re scheduled in for treatments (during these windy episodes) and you’re able to provide some form of shelter to get out of this wind I sure do appreciate it 🙏🏼 😊

I use 4CYTE, when it comes to joints I don’t like to stuff around and couldn’t speak more highly of the product! 👏🏼

Your horse’s joints are incredible structures. At first glance, horse joints appear quite simple. A joint is any part of the skeleton where two or more bones meet and enable your horse to move.

However, below the surface, your horse’s joints are far more complex. For those who love science and trivia, did you know that your horse’s skeleton contains three different types of joints?

1️⃣ Fibrous joints: these are fixed joints that don’t move at all, like the skull.
2️⃣ Cartilaginous joints: connected by cartilage, these joints allow for limited movement, such as the vertebrae in your horse’s spine.
3️⃣ Synovial joints: lubricated by synovial fluid, these joints are the shock absorbers in your horse’s body. Think of the fetlock, knee, and hock.

While horse joint supplements are beneficial for all joints, it is the synovial joints that require supplementation the most, regardless of your horse’s activity level.

With supplementation, your horse’s synovial joints are supported to remain strong, flexible, and supple for many years to come. To find out more about supporting your horse's joint health, please head to 👉 https://au.4cyte.global/horses.

New kid on the block ‘Jimmy’ soaking up the sun ☀️ after his treatment this morning!
These sunny days are definitely a welcome sight after the fresh chilly mornings we’ve been having!! 🥶
The days are getting longer and warmer AND it’s that time of year my lot start coming back into work 👏🏼 👏🏼

A treatment prior to coming back into work can sometimes help eliminate those cheeky surprises they like to throw at us every now and again!
Pm to book 😊 ✏️

How is the weather at your place??! 😬🥶🌧️
I think even the ducks have tucked themselves away for the week here!! 🦆 🦆
Whilst most peoples event calendars have slowed up with their horses over the winter there are still some who are hard at, braving the weather!! 👏🏼

I’d just like to put out a kind reminder while I’m more then ok coming to treat horses in this weather- a wet horse is not overly desirable to work on, I’m aware of what’s happening currently with our weather system and that its not easy keeping our horses dry but I certainly appreciate you trying!
On the other hand- I have ample undercover room and a safe area for multiple horses here at home if you’d still like your equines worked on whilst staying out of the weather!! 😊
Just pop me a msg x

📸 picture of my little one enjoying a bit of team penning at Trafalgar on Sunday! Was certainly fun to watch!

I often get asked about feeding horses, when I’m out treating! I’m not an expert in this field, I have done a couple nutrition courses for my own benefit BUT, in saying that courses aren’t cheap and with the array of products on the market these days we can feel overwhelmed and no closer to the answers we are chasing!
What I can recommend is to invest your money into a nutritionist, its money well spent and money well saved on feed and supps that your equines may not even require!

BUT WHERE DO I START?
Most feed companies have a nutritionist on hand that’s happy to answer your Q’s and point you in the right direction, but they can also be a little bias because they work for said company! Not a bad thing, they’ve put in the hours and money to be good at what they do also, but always good to keep this in the back on your mind- does your local feed store stock said feeds or able to get them in? Is the demand there for them to supply said feeds/ supps continually?! I’m seeing some feeds are now being hard to source, prices are on the rise and with the cost of everything else how are we to keep our horses feed and happy without living off bread and honey ourselves! Do you know your cost per feed?!

There are also independent nutritionist who work solely for themselves and aren’t brand or product specific as such.. these are the ones I tend to seek out!

I’ve one I always mention to people and couldn’t speak more highly of, have used this ladies services a few times and she is very thorough and the results speak for themselves!
Every horse is different and has their needs and special requirements- I understand this..
If your interested in who I’m referring to, jump on her fb page and have a look, maybe even a follow ⬇️

I just want to say a BIG THANKYOU to all that have had me out the past couple weeks to treat your equines!
I’ve loved every part of it (even the weather 🤔) meeting some new faces, seeing some familiar faces and getting to know your beloved four legged friends!

Riding horses is a privilege, a hobby. I think that I speak for all equestrians when I say that this hobby is one of the most expensive! As much as we want to provide the best care, sometimes the "extras" like bodywork, just don't work within the budget. That's okay! Focus on your non-negotiable vet and farrier bills.

But... if you can afford to take your horse to shows, and expect them to compete and perform like athletes, then you can afford bodywork.

In fact, you can't afford NOT to prioritize bodywork. Prehab (preventive rehab) is so much easier and more affordable than the alternative of waiting until there is a major, potentially career-ending injury. If you expect your horse to be an athlete, then you better treat them like one!

Wondered what tension release can look like in your equine friends!?
Here’s a few things to watch for when your horse is getting a treatment! ⬇️

🔸yawning
🔸soft eye movements
🔸blinking
🔸jaw/ tongue movements
🔸stretching
🔸change in breath
Just to name a few..

A good intense grooming session will also help with circulation and you may find your helping release tension without realising 👏🏼

And they will love you for it 😊

I’m Bec or Beccy as most know me,
I’m a mum, a step mum, a farmer and a huge horse enthusiast!
I live with my partner Scott, 4 kids and we run an intensive farming enterprise in Glengarry, Gippsland Victoria.
I’m a competitive barrel racer and breakaway roper, most of the time you’ll find me chasing rodeos over the summer and working on young horses over the winter.

I’ve been involved heavily in many facets of the equine industry for the past 35+ years, since I could walk basically!
Like most, being a horse owner and competitor myself- keeping horses feeling at their best has always been a priority.
With what we have access to these days there really is no reason or excuse as to why we can’t keep our equine friends feeling great!

I had this desire to know more and do more for my horses, especially being on the road all the time competing. I looked down a couple avenues of different modalities and eventually found one i wanted to know more of and be involved with.
I was introduced to EBT and Sue (Equine Body Therapy founded by Sue Parker) by a close friend and fellow practitioner- Needless to say here I am- qualified EBT practitioner and super excited to bring this modality to the Gippsland area!
