Horse Float and Trailers Repairs (HF&TR ) designs, services and rebuilds/repairs all makes and models of horse floats and trailers. Delivering the highest of safety standards, once building or repairs are completed, we can even organise the registration. We use Australian steel and spray all floats with a 2 pack paint (unlike many who use enamel or acrylics. In comparison, these offer poor results

and substantially inferior longevity). We have a genuine understanding of interpreting client briefs and work towards a budget to suit the customer’s needs without compromising quality and safety. HF&TR will match quotes from other accredited businesses. However, we will not compromise on product and workmanship in the process. All completed on site at Glenorie NSW. We offer a pick-up and delivery service within the Sydney metro area and welcome all new clients with an obligation free assessment for all floats and trailers prior to registration or travelling to horse events etc. HF&TR's attention to detail is second to none. With 30 years of welding, spraying, construction and building experience, HF&TR guarantee all safety aspects of floats and trailers upon completion of work. Keep on top of your floor and tailgate safety. Feeling spongy?? Do not push this to the side and tell yourself you will check it next week. We appreciate sometimes the timing is not ideal - you may be about to leave for a Show or a lesson. If there is any advice we can pass along, it is that a horse will thank you forever if you listen to your gut instinct that tells you to STOP, CHECK and REPAIR if needed, without delay. The "one more trip" thought might be too late.

Not the kind of experience anyone wants to have when transporting their equine road warriors. These guys did unfortunately with the only bright side being that the horses were not injured, thankfully. You can see not only the holes in the body of the float but the horse hoof marks on the aluminium (where it was pushed from the inside out). The client was able to travel a few hours to get the float to our team for repair. As you can see, we achieved another perfect result.

Perfect day for one of the team to cool off - today it was Phil who was in charge of this float. What an incredible before and after (wash). The images really do not do this justice but believe us, it came up looking brilliant! We know when this float gets back out there, it will no longer feel like hiding!

We are back! Our team have (as usual) hit the ground running. We have a full program locked in - lots of fabrication, repairs and upgrades to various floats and trailers. What a shock this client had when we investigated her float for its safety integrity. Unfortunately the rust had been cleverly (we call it dishonestly) covered over before sale. Unless walls are removed or you notice some bulging or softness, it is often not apparent for months. By this time, it has become dangerous! Sadly we have uncovered multiple floats purchased in the past 2 months riddled with rust - the team at Horse Float and Trailer Repairs are available to do pre purchase checks 0409861607.

Who does not want their equine road warriors to travel in style? Of course we all do. This transformation is next level - air conditioning, windows, storage and drop dividers have created a wonderful space for travel. Both owner and horses will find the results has been well worth the investment.

As we approach the craziness of the next couple of months, we are taking this week off to refuel and energize ourselves...... the team will be back on Monday and ready to tackle our hectic schedule! We have great pleasure sharing this short video of the refurbishment picked up on Monday. It is honestly a campers delight now. Awning, cooking facilities (inside stove and outdoor BBQ) fabulous awning, lighting, lockable rear top tailgate, insulation on the inside roof, air-conditioning, storage, new padding, sink with running water. In fact, all the creature comforts that those gorgeous equine road warriors could wish for. Enjoy the makeover results.

No words could describe the incredible journey, transformation and results we have achieved for this float. The float held special memories for the owner and we had this front of mind during the upgrades. From new side windows to cook top, fridge, air-conditioning, storage, BBQ, awning, lighting in and out from a central operating station just to name a few things - we cannot possibly list the entire scope - we'd be here all day. Our clients were thrilled beyond words and we thank them for allowing us to take their float from tired to invigorated. Look out for the full video tomorrow night. Thanks Hillside Metalworks

It was a good thing this float came in for a full safety check over. As you will see, we carried out a significant repair to the underside of the float (and this was only 1 of multiple repairs needed). Often we find small cracks and if they remain unchecked, they become major cracks over time. Maintenance is imperative to pick up any minor repairs before they put the float or trailer in to the "danger" zone. We suggest every 6-12 months for a complete safety check and service. How many have thought they were buying the perfect 2nd hand float?? You're not alone if you were duped in to purchasing a lemon. Beware of the pretty looking float. We have had 2 wonderful clients recently who have discovered multiple issues - none of these were disclosed at the time of sale. See the floor photo, the first time their horse used the float, it went through. Horse was ok, thankfully. Tailgate rotten, and hinge area rusted through under the paint.. Please get the float checked before purchase.

One minute your float is loving life, the next, not so much. A massive storm caused one of the trees on the property to fall and of course it landed on the gooseneck. The team have done the repairs to the inside/outside of the roof, resprayed and put on a new Fiamma awning. You can never predict these things but it is good to know Horse Float and Trailer Repairs can do virtually any repair or modification to your float/trailer, from metalwork (thanks Hillside Metalworks ) to timber, to Fibreglass.

Please check out this video. This client was aware the floor felt spongy and took the initiative to have our team investigate. There were a number of areas where the floor was compromised. As we all know, prevention is better than a cure. Be vigilant and check the floor and tailgate of your float regularly. This one has a new hardwood floor and RPS grip rubber to finish off.

A new front access with swing out saddle racks - the saddle was larger, so the team designed this fabulous pivoting swing out saddle rack to accommodate it. The saddle fitted like a treat and can be easily maneuvered out and back in. Go team!!
