I am not sure if anyone has noticed, but I have taken the OTT Acknowledged Retrainer badge off my page. I am not continuing with retraining. Due to rising costs and it being very hard to rehome the horses, I cannot put any more into it. I am sad as TBs have been my whole life for many years.
There was no support from Racing Vic for running costs. At a time when I needed help I rang Equine Welfare only to be told I receive a subsidy already. $100 per month. Horse needed $000’s in vet work. Was a hard keeper and I was at my breaking point.
It is a struggle when they throw thousands at marquees at events and spend for prize money for events. It is a flawed system to say the least..owners are paying a % of stake money for welfare but where does that go? I can tell you it is not to people who are trying to help the horses.
Anyway, just thought I would explain.

Thank you to everyone who reached out or commented on my post about the loss of my gorgeous friend Gus.
Thanks to CavEquine Veterinary Services Benalla Sarah who made Gus’s goodbye a peaceful one and to Simon Verdon for being there.
I will always remember Gus. He was more than just a horse, he was my friend. At peace now. ###

Lottie is quirky and requires an experienced rider. She is for sale through no fault of her own. Would love to keep her, but just need to sell due to time restraints.

**************SOLD****************It is time to realise that I am needing to reduce my horses. Unfortunately for Lottie, that means she is looking for a new home.
Lottie is 9yo and 16.1hh. She is out of a paint mare by a crossbred paint Clydie stallion. As far as I know she is not registered. She is easy to catch, shoe and clip. Easy to float but does have a routine to follow and then she will happily load.
Lottie has a good understanding of the basics. Works in a lovely frame. She has been off property to cross country school and been to clinics and a couple of sj comps.
She requires an experienced rider. Not because she is naughty, just because she has quirks.
She is great to ride out, alone and with others. She is the same to ride after weeks off. Can ride on the buckle, she is bold and forward to ride.
Lottie is microchipped. Up to date with worming, teeth and shoeing.
Priced to sell.

So happy to get an update on Leo (Pentacost). He has been getting a lot of love and attention and seems to be enjoying his new life. It really make me smile to see him! Thank you Mel Bee for taking a chance on him.

Leo was a super star again today. He is just so easy. No nasties at all. Ties up solid, no lunging required. I have not jumped him so have no idea of his ability. Will make a nice horse on the flat as he is a quick learner and not complicated in the mouth.

Pentacost. 16.2h 6yo gelding.
Leo is a lovely natured OTT gelding who finished racing in Feb 23. Retired sound of limb. Clean legs. Was non competitive.
Last night had his first ride and was an absolute angel. No nasties, good mouth, picked up both canter leads first go and very comfy!
Leo does windsuck, and he had a successful wind operation. He makes no noise.
He is easy to do everything with. Loves a brush and a carrot!
Leo would be suitable for any discipline and would make a great allrounder for a rider who is looking for a reliable partner.
Leo would need a rider who has had ott horses before.
Leo is eligible for Equimillions.

TTT Dressage at Benalla 2023.
Mario competed at Level 1. He was his usual reliable self and produced two pleasing tests. Each one has rider errors in them but I can do better!!
1.2 he won 🥇 and 1.4 he was 🥉 and also won the jackpot🏆

Hygain for his feed prize! He is already powered by Hygain feeds so very handy!
Fox & Fern Co. who provided the jackpot prize of a beautiful chopping board with a lovely horse on it!

6yo 16.1 h bay gelding.
Last raced Feb 23. Spelled and ready for his new home.
He is easy to catch, trim and float. He was a good ride at the track.
Leo does windsuck and has had a wind operation. He had a couple of starts after.
There is no reason he could not be a super adult riding club, or pony club horse.
He would suit an experienced ott home where someone will love him.

He raced as Pentacost. He has been spelling since Feb which is when he had his last start. He has had a wind operation but raced after clean legged.

RV RESET Emrick.
Such a super boy. Went for our first ride out on the road and it was by himself. So good. Doesn’t shy and sweet going. Had a trot and canter along a good grassy stretch. Really happy with him.
He is going to be a super horse for any discipline!

The beautiful Lottie had her first rounds of showjumping today. We ventured to Shepparton in the cold and Lottie was so good! Such an easy horse and has plenty of potential!

RV Reset Emrick is such a sweet boy. He has 3 exceptional paces and I think once he has a little training under his belt, he will be amazing.
He had his teeth done yesterday and was a little star.
Quick bit of a trivia question.
Who won the rug he is wearing??????
Hint: was the same color but 2 hands taller🤣😂
